Scene 1 – The Mystery Locker
The hallway was quiet. Ella stood near the row of lockers, her fingers tracing over one that caught her eye.
Ella frowned.
On the front, in neat bold letters, was written: “Jia.”
Ella
(thinking):
“Jia? But… in our class, there are only two girls—me and Jinshi. So who is Jia?”
Curiosity burning, Ella slowly reached for the locker handle, trying to open it.
Raven Appears
Before she could, a voice cut through the silence.
Raven
(sharp, angry):
“What the hell do you think you’re doing?”
Ella jumped, spinning around. Raven stood there, his dark eyes cold, his presence suffocating.
Ella
(defensive):
“I wasn’t doing anything wrong! I just… saw the name. I was only looking.”
Raven’s jaw clenched. He strode up to her, slamming the locker shut with his hand.
Raven
(snapping):
“Don’t touch things that don’t belong to you!”
Ella stepped back, startled, but stood her ground.
Ella
(angry):
“You don’t own this whole school, Raven!”
For a moment, his fury boiled over. He shoved her back—harder than he meant to.
Ella’s body hit the edge of another locker. She winced as a sharp pain shot through her arm.
When she pulled her hand back, there was blood.
Her hazel eyes widened
Ella
(hurt, whispering):
“…You’re crazy.”
She grabbed her bag and stormed away, not letting him see her tears.
The Crossroad Encounter
As Ella turned the corner, still clutching her bleeding arm, she bumped into a boy.
His expression shifted to shock at the sight of her injury.
Boy
(concerned):
“You’re bleeding… Are you okay?”
Ella forced a weak smile.
Ella
“I’m fine… don’t worry about me.”
And she walked past him, leaving him staring after her.
Back at the lockers, Raven stood frozen. His hand trembled slightly where he had slammed the locker.
Raven
(thinking, guilt creeping in):
“Damn it… I pushed her too far. I didn’t… mean to hurt her.”
For the first time, his smirk was gone. His chest tightened with something unfamiliar—regret.
He leaned against the lockers, running a hand through his hair.
Raven
(whispering to himself):
“Why does it bother me so much… seeing her like that?”
