As i was walking around the store with Nathan, I get a call from mom.

*smiles and picks up the call*

Where are you? It's so late already.

Don't worry mom, I'm just in a nearby store.

Hurry up home. You have school tomorrow

I could tell from her tone that she cried. However, i couldn't say anything to comfort her
I walk over to Nathan and after wishing him goodbye, i walk out of the store and head back home
As I enter the house closing the door behind me, I find mom sleeping on the kitchen counter with a glass of milk beside her.
The whole living room was a mess. Broken glass pieces was scattered all over the place

Mom.. *walks over to the kitchen counter* Didn't you have dinner?

Oh no, sweetie. I was full. *smile*
I could sense she was lying.
I looked at the closed door of my dad's room and sighed. I knew I was too young to change anything.
I drank the milk and came back to my room
I lie on the bed, and before I know it, i drifted off to sleep.
The next morning, i dressed up and went downstairs for breakfast. I found dad sitting there reading newspaper
The atmosphere was heavy from yesterday's situation
I looked over at the living room which was all neat and clean as if nothing ever happened there. I knew mom spent the whole night cleaning all the traces of yesterday's night.
I walk over to the table and sit down to have breakfast.

I finish my breakfast, grab my bag and leave for school.
As i was walking to school, someone tapped me from behind.
I turned back only to find Nathan there grinning at me
