episode 5
jimin father
(shouting): “Jimin!!”
From one nightmare into another… My eyes snap open.
His footsteps thunder closer.
(The door slams open. A heavy voice crashes into the room.)
jimin father
You worthless disgrace of a son!”
park jimin
(A slap. My head jerks to the side, cheek burning. Tears sting before I can stop them.)
jimin father
You can’t do anything!”
jimin father
“Why didn’t you clean up yesterday?!”
park jimin
I see the table, cluttered. Memories from last night blur in my head—I had forgotten. My chest sinks in guilt.)
park jimin
(bowing low, voice trembling): “I-I’m sorry, sir. I must have forgotten. Please… I’ll clean it now, just let me—”
(Before I finish, his foot slams into my ribs. Pain explodes. I collapse on my side. He doesn’t stop—kicks crash into my stomach, my head, my ankle. Something cracks. A scream gets stuck in my throat.)
jimin father
(roaring): “Abomination! You should’ve never been born!”
(He grabs my hair again, dragging my broken body toward the back door. My nails scrape the floor, trying to hold on—but it’s useless.)
jimin father
(seething): “You’re a parasite. I’ve had enough of you. If I ever see you again, I’ll kill you. Nobody will miss you anyway!”
park jimin
(The door slams. Cold night air bites my skin. My body lands among trash cans. The pain is sharp, but heavier is the voice in my head: “Where you belong.”)
A small boy lay crumpled among trash cans. “Where he belonged,” at least that’s what he believed. Every inch of his body screamed pain—old bruises, fresh cuts, wounds he had carved himself just hours ago. A hoodie hid his fragile frame, but not the brokenness inside.
He had nothing with him. No bag, no blanket. Just his thin sleep shirt and loose pants clinging to his trembling body.
He forces himself up, sharp hiss escaping. His heart begs him to turn back, beg his father for forgiveness, but his mind knows: that door is forever closed.)
Step by step, he limps forward until his broken ankle gives out. His body collapses to the ground. Shame burns hotter than pain—imagining strangers’ eyes judging the bruises on his skin. His eyelids grow heavy. Sleep drags him under.
[Timeskip: Night has fallen deeper.]
Jimin wakes, not because he wants to, but because the pain demands it. His whole body shivers violently, every inch hurting. He tries to stand, but the moment weight touches his right ankle, agony rips through him. He falls with a cry, clutching his leg.
park jimin
(whispering, broken): “It hurts… it hurts so much…”
(He curls into himself, sobbing, until footsteps echo through the alley. Two shadows approach. His heart races—not with hope, but terror.)
strange 1
(mocking tone): “Well, well… who do we have here?”
(Jimin freezes. His sobs die down into shaky breaths. His whole body shivers—not from cold this time, but from fear.)
strange 1

park jimin
Whimpers, eyes wide …
tears slide down his cheeks
park jimin
(thinking): No… not like this…
