I find myself looking across the room at a familiar yet mysterious boy. I don’t know why, but just his presence alone always catches my attention.
“helloo??.. Taehyung? Taehyung!”
I suddenly snapped back as a pair of hands were repeatedly waving in front of me, my eyes meeting Jin’s.
“I thought you were at the rooftop. So, you
actually came to class just to see him?”
“Well-..”
I turn my gaze back to the now empty desk where he sits. I watch him as he walks out of the door, my hand unknownlingy trying to reach for him, desperate for his presence again.
One turn away and he’s gone.. It's always been like that.
“Ah..Taehyung-ah, you can’t even make a move on him if you don’t talk to him first.”
“..what’s the point hyung? He’s quiet all the time, I don't even know if he can speak.”
“Well, you never know unless you try, y’know.”
I grunt with my head laid on the desk, feeling defeated.
“Come on, don’t be so sulky, you’re never like this. Now come head to the cafeteria with me, Joon’s waiting.”
“Actually.. I’ll pass, thanks.”
“hOw wOuld tHe FanGirLs fEeL wHeN tHe BaD bOy iSnT ThErE!!?”
I laugh lightly.
Jin looks at me gleefully as if he succeeded in a mission.
“Well, I should get going now.”
As Jin was about to leave, he stopped and turned to me. I raise my eyebrows, slightly confused.
“Will you be at the rooftop?”
“Well, I won’t be in his class next session.”
Jin chuckles.
“Your only class with him is math, the only subject you’re bad at.”
“I-I’m not!”
“Yes, you are!”
“No! Stop that.”
…
Moments later after arguing, Jin finally leaves.
I sigh deeply as I make my way to the rooftop.
