He just didn’t seem to realize how soon it was until he felt the cold in his current form.

The human closed the door and put him on his bed, scarff and everything. Jungkook perked his ears up and watched as his human headed towards the fireplace. He threw some firewood into the fireplace and lit it, engulfing the room in light.

“Sorry, little one. It’s going to take a while before the room warms up,” he said as he went closer to him. The human gave him a soft pet with his fingers, and Jungkook subconsciously leaned into his touch, loving the warmth coming from his hand. He smiled down to him, his dimples showing again before he looked away.

“It’s not much,” he said as he looked around the room. “It’s a little bare, my job doesn’t really pay that well, and most of our clients’ payment goes to Mr. Choi. I can’t really afford that much,” he scratched his cheek in embarrassment. Then his gaze fell on his desk, where there seemed to be a clutter of items, specifically books. There seems to be a lot of them. Jungkook felt his nose twitch. It seemed like his human was an avid reader…

“At least I get to buy books, even if it does take most of my money,” the human chuckled. Then he perked up and turned back to look at Jungkook.

“You must be hungry aren’t you?” he asked. Jungkook felt his ears twitch, and he just realized that yeah, he was really hungry. He did used a lot of energy running away from those wolves.

Gosh, he didn’t realize how hungry he was. He hasn’t eaten since this morning after breakfast when he decided to hide out in the forest by the castle to run away from his studies. Which was also the reason why he was like this in the first place.

“Hmmm…I don’t really know if I have anything you can eat,” his human trailed off, standing up and looked around the room before he started patting himself. “I should have something with me…” Then he reached into his coat pocket and took out a piece of cloth. Jungkook felt his nose twitch as a sweet smell reached his nose. It smelled like sugar cookies!

Cookies did sound good right now. Jungkook felt like he could eat a whole feast with how hungry he was feeling.

His human frowned. “I don’t think this would be good for you,” he said, proceeding to put the cloth of cookies on his desk and taking one for him to snack on. Jungkook unconsciously began to panic and began to whine loudly, trying to move towards the food. He was starving and he wasn’t even going to give him his favorite food? What kind of cruelty was this?

“Wha-?” the human turned to him as he continued to whine, gulping down the rest of his cookie and rushing towards him. “What’s wrong? Are you hurt?” He started to pet him, but Jungkook can still smell the sugar cookies on his hand and started to sniff his hand. He even tried to lick it to see if the sweet taste of the cookies will cling to him, but it only lasted so long before they disappeared. Again, Jungkook began to whine and looked towards the desk.

“I don’t know what you want little one...” the human told him, sounding a little distressed. “And please keep it down. I’m not really supposed to have you here. If Mr. Choi finds out about you, I don’t know what he’s going to do to you.”
