Sussane's POV

The days passed by in a blink and I continued with my daily life. I was swamped with my studies. Law was really taking a toll on me but I was a strong independent woman. Just as one day I was sitting scrolling my mobile, i heard my mom talking to my aunt.

"yes I know. she's studying right now, but they said they'd wait" my mom said.

And my heart immediately dropped. I had a mix of anger and anxiousness mixed inside me.

I knew what she was talking about. I knew and it gave me chills. My mother was talking about my marriage. With a guy whose mother proposed to marry me to her sun when I was just 16. I had despised them from that day. there's a different between being cultural and foolish. And people mixed culture with foolishness. They had been insisting. My brain started running with thoughts of what I'm gonna do. I know my parents can't get me married without my permission. But manipulation could do anything. And I'd seen my mom almost getting manipulated so I wasn't taking a chance.

I went back to scrolling my mobile. And thinking of ways to escape this so called wedding with a guy i don't even like. Like come on if I'm having a loveless arranged marriage. I'll atleast do it with a hot guy who thinks a women isn't confined to the kitchen.

A few days pass by and the thoughts kept running inside my head. And only one person came to my kind. I knew it was shitty and not considerable but to hell with that, i wanted it and I'd do it.
