Married To The Mafia

Married To The Mafia

Chapter One

[Author's]

The sun was blinding the New York city, leaving behind the darkest hour as an alarm clock sounds rang across the room. A boy who was sleeping soundless awaken by the sudden noises, not expecting it at all. He grumbled slightly annoyed but turned it off nonchalantly before moving out of the bed.

It was 7:00 in the morning. Another day for Charles to get ready for school seeing that he was still seventeen and in the last grade of high school.

Charles looked at the mirror, staring at his rather unique eyes who stared at him back. Charles Stefano was the son of Melinda and Erick Stefano, who worked in their own small company they had built from scratch. He can be described as a carefree and cheerful person which led him to be quite known around his school. He stood at five feet five and still growing due to the fact that his mother's gene runs in his blood. He owned a fluffy brown hair, blue-violet-ist eyes, a small nose and not to forget his pink lips. He looked similar his mother with his feminine face and body at that; he was once mistaken as a girl.

Charles ran downstairs and was greeted by his parents. His mother was siting on the couch while his father was drinking a coffee, talking to each other.

"Mom and dad, I'm off to school!" He yelled, tying his shoelaces before grabbing his backpack and keys. He reached out for the door handle afterward, not hearing their responses as he was going to be late.

"That boy, seriously." Melinda sighed at the sight of her son but smiled nonetheless.

Walking to school was a not so favorite things Charles liked to do. It was tiring, bothersome and he always ran out of breath whenever he arrived. His car was still at the repair shop because he accidentally scratched it and it'll be dropped off this afternoon which he was glad of; he needn't to walk to school again.

After a long time of walking on he sideways, a two story building came to the view making him breath out in relief. His school wasn't too bad because people favorited him as the school's 'Sweet heart' and it was kinda true considering that he was an easygoing guy who speak to anyone.

Charles has tons of friends but the ones that are considered as his best friends aren't many. For example, Zachary which was currently jogging towards Charles with a grin on his face. He groaned as Zach attached himself to Charles's body, hugging him from behind with ease.

    This dammed hulk

The guy was six feet tall, easily towering Charles; the one thing he jealous of. He has all; the look, the height, the sculpted body and the popularity. All the things Charles had always was except the popularity one. "My Cupcake! Good morning."

Charles snorted at the nickname. His friends were all calling him that because of his cupcakes addiction. He needs at least three a week because he knew diabetes going to get him sooner or later if he ate too much sugar.

"Yeah, good morning to you too, Hulk." Zach pouted, tightening his grip around Charles small waist.

"You two lovebirds! We're going to be late if you guys keep on being lovey dovey," A feminine voice called out as Charles and Zach walked to where the voice came. Jennifer, another of Charles best buds leaning against the locker, eyes glaring at the two guys. She also proudly towered over Charles at five feet eight. Her smooth strawberry blonde hair was tied in high ponytail, she wore a light makeup, a black cropped top that clung to her curves, a high waist white ripped jeans and a black sneakers to complete the look.

Jennifer smiled mischievously glancing at the two boys in front of her. "You two should date for real. You guys are perfect for each other! Jock and the Nerd....might as well I make a fan fiction about you guys."

"This guy?" He pointed at Zach who rolled his eyes feeling offended. "Hey, I'm quite handsome you know. You've seen my abs and my ***** body and I'm pretty sure I've seen you drooling at the sight of me and my sexiness. Don't deny it, I know."

Charles slapped his chest. "I'm not gay and you're straight as ruler."

"No, Honey. I'm bi." Jen snickered making Charles blush in embarrassment before he closed the locker.

He rolled his eyes and walked away with Jen and Zach behind him arguing about which one is better. He went inside the class and mentally groaned when he knew that algebra was the first class.

    Great, hell in the morning

The teacher came soon stomping her way to the table, looking irritated before she started the class while grumbling. Charles sighed, leaning his head on his right fist, looking out to the window beside him while observing the loose leaves getting swept by the wind. But, after some times, his eye lids dropped and he fell asleep.

To say, he woke up when the lunch bell rang and he wasn't pleased. Many years had passed by but it decided to haunt his dream and memories once more. He brushed it off but he couldn't wipe the moody look on his face as he stood from his seat and tossed his bag to his shoulder.

The hallway was crowded and noisy seeing that it was lunchtime. An arm wrapped itself on Charles's shoulder and Jacob—his other best friend came to the view.

Jacob Estrada was a typical jock that plays football and is the captain. He was well built and slightly broader than Zach and even taller than him, standing at six feet two. His tussled blonde hair was shaved at the side, leaving the middle long and untamed. His jaw was sharp, he has a thin lips, grayish blue eyes and high cheekbones. He was well attractive and the center of attention. Jacob has a rather friendly and nice personality; not like the usual bully jock.

"Hey, hun." Jacob beamed, skipping his way to the cafeteria; dragging the poor guy with him.

"Unh," Charles greeted back with a slight hum, letting himself to be dragged away.

"You look troubled, care to explain?" Jacob asked, walking towards the empty seats they usually sat on with Zach and Jen already waiting.

Charles whined. "Bad dreams." He moaned out as he sat down and pulled out his sandwiches and his favorite milk. Jacob took a seat beside him, Jen and Zach was sitting opposite while both munching on their foods. "Aw, our adorable Cupcake was scared with bad dreams."

"Jacob! What—?" Jen interrupted, slamming her hands onto the table gaining their attention.

"Guys, beforehand I'd to say something," Jen continued after the attention were now on her. "I turned eighteen two days ago, right? And good news for us, my mom lets me go to a club!"

    Zach widen his eyes. "Really?!"

"This is great! Finally I can go to the party with my all of my best friends, I can't wait." Jacob exclaimed excitedly before high-fiving Zach and Jen's awaiting hands.

"Sorry to break it to you guys, I'm seventeen."

They all looked at Charles with no expression at first but then Jacob suggested, "It's okay, my brother owned a club downtown and I'm sure if I talked to him, he'll let us in. All guaranteed, trust me."

"Still not intere—" Charles groaned as he was interrupted once more but this time by Zach. "Before you disagree, please think about it carefully."

Zach knew that Charles couldn't resist his puppy eyes after seeing his disturbed face, Zach smiled, showing off his white teeth. "Fine." Charles mumbled.

They cheered before sitting back down and eat the rest of their food making Charles chuckled silently looking the sight.

. . .

"I'm home," Charles said, his voice echoed through his empty house as he waited for an answer. "Guess they're away for business trip."

He trotted to the kitchen after showering and changing clothes, looking for something to eat. A yellows note was glued to the fridge, he presumed was left by his mother. And indeed it was, his parents were currently on an emergency business trip and will be back around two weeks front now. It wasn't the first time Charles had the home for himself, knowing that his parents were a CEO of their own company so it was normal.

Looking inside the fridge, Charles groaned when no edible food in sight. All of them were raw food and he couldn't cook at all. Once, he almost burned the house down when he tried to cook an egg and his mother banned him from cooking again. So instead of risking his life once more, he grabbed his car keys and locked the door before going outside. He unlocked his car he got for his sixteenth birthday which was a green Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2, not the fanciest but at least it can move.

Charles pulled out from the garage, a smile stretched on his face as he was able to drive his baby girl after a week of separation. He was craving something greasy so he drove to McDonald that wasn't too far.

He stepped inside and the smell of chicken and fries hit his nose making him almost drooled.

"Good evening, what can I get for you?" The cashier asked with a polite smile on her face. Charles took a minute debating whether he bought two burgers, a large fries and sprite or two burger, three pieces of chicken, a large fries and a cola. Eventually, he ordered the second choice because he's a growing man that needs a lot of junk food. Don't judge him. He paid the bill and went to the nearest empty seat, holding his foods. He spent the next hour just eating and looking out the window.

After he was done, he made a quick trip to the book store in front of where he ate. He bought a book called 'The Royal Highness' that he had been itching to read for while. He paid the book and went outside when his mother suddenly called.

"Hello," Charles answered. "My baby! Sorry if we suddenly gone missing since your father with his stupidity here forgot about the meeting with an important business partner so we had to get here as soon as possible."

Charles could see his mother rolled her eyes and chuckled. "It's fine and mom I know dad can be stupid sometimes—no all the time but please don't go hard on him, who knows how much he can handle."

"You were supposed to be on my side, son!" His father yelled from the other line and heard his mother pinched him. It went quiet for a moment before his mother's voice came on.

"Son, I hate to say this but, I have to go now. Take care and call me if you need anything, love you."

"Love you too, Mommy." He ended the call before walking towards his car not noticing a pair of eyes watching every of his movements.

A pair of brown eyes was observing a boy from top to bottom. A smirk placed on his face as he leaned on the leather chair behind him. The Don was attracted and allured by the boy he had just seen walking towards a green Lamborghini.

He needed to know who was the boy, he must know who the boy was.

"Kelly, do me a favor," He pointed his hand to the boy who had just went inside his car before continuing. "I need you to get any information available about the boy in that car and give it to me tomorrow afternoon."

"Yes, Don." Without hesitations Kelly, his right hand man got out from the limousine and informed his subordinates what needed to be done.

"Excuse me, Don. Mr. Paul is already waiting at the hotel and your presence is requested as sooner as possible." A black man in suit, his secretary said before the car jolted awake after the Don's permission was granted.

   Wait for me, Little one

The innocent Charles went home without noticing a black car trailing behind him. He sang his heart out on the music he was currently jamming in. After arriving in his house, he parked the car and went inside bringing the goodies with him. He walked straight up to his room to read the novel he bought for the rest of the night.
