JAANA: HIS ULTIMATE OBSESSION
Chapter - 3
A man in sixties, with tailored suit, sharp eyes was reading files with full concentration in his study room until his phone started to ring. He glanced at the screen to cut the call, but...
His eyes widened in disbelief, his heart began to beat faster, not out of excitement but out of the fear that had been brewing in his heart for many years.
This number, this call was not supposed to come not even after three years, not ever, but it came, knocking in his doors not out of helplessness, but with sheer authority which he didn't give but it carried with itself not out of respect but with the fear of something which he couldn't afford to express not in his actions, not even in his words.
If he wanted he could have disconnected it but he couldn't. Because he couldn't afford the aftermath of his actions.
With trembling hands he picks up the call, Although he answered it calmly but his heart was anything but calm.
