The June family car pulled up in the long driveway of the Williams estate, polished black against the gleaming stone of the mansion. Trevor followed his parents into the grand hall, his pulse quickening.
It wasn’t nerves about the wealth or the grandeur because his own family was rich, used to elegance and power. No, what set his heart racing was the thought of finally meeting him.
The Williams family greeted them warmly. At the center stood David Williams, tall and dignified, shaking hands with Trevor’s father as though no time had passed.

“After all these years,” *he said with a booming laugh* “it feels just like old times.”

“It does *agree while smiling * “ from running the streets together as boys to now planning our children's wedding. Who would have thought?
Their laughter filled the hall, the easy camaraderie of men who had once shared secrets and now shared power.
Trevor, meanwhile, lowered his eyes shyly, sneaking the smallest glance toward Davey.

“He looked exactly as I imagined sharp suit, a sharp gaze, an Alpha who carried the weight of command without saying a word. *said to himself.*

“There is nothing soft about him, nothing indulgent. * felt his throat tighten, though his lips curved into a nervous smile anyway.*
The parents guided everyone to sit, pouring drinks as conversation turned to preparations.

“The wedding should be held within two months,” *he said, while raising his glass.* “Plenty of time to plan something worthy of both families.”
Travis June/Trevor Dad (DA)
“Yes, it should be grand, but not gaudy. Something elegant. Our children deserve nothing less.”

*Chuckled and leaned in, eyes dancing* “And of course, we’ll have to ask what kind of ceremony they’d like. I imagine Trevor already has a dozen ideas written down.”

*Heat rushed to Trevor’s cheeks.* “M-Mother!” *he whispered, embarrassed, but his laugh betrayed him.*
Everyone chuckled, but Davey only sat back, expressionless. He didn’t look at Trevor, didn’t smile, didn’t give away the smallest thought.
Trevor June (DO)
* Still, stole another glance.
Cold, he thought. But even so, he couldn’t look away for long.*
The parents carried on with their laughter and plans, the room lively with warmth and friendship. But between Trevor and Davey, silence lingered one filled with curiosity on one side, and complete indifference on the other.
