"We've arrived", he said, before he parked the car and brought her to walk throughout the long footpath, enhanced by a tree with golden-ish leaves. A place that seems otherworldly, a secret place that few people knew about. The land was wide and filled with a tree swaying peacefully, whereas a gentle wind blowing the falling leaves, as well as a large lake reflecting the beauty of vast blue sky. Coincidentally, there was a bench to sit on there.

For a moment, Yi Xuan was stunned by Nuan Qing's radiant eyes that reflected admiration as he glanced at her. He could not look away. Thus, he asked with a hesitant voice, "Do you like this place?"

"I like it.. I can't stop myself looking around. Maybe if you hadn't asked me, I surely will be carried away by its beauty! Still, thank you for bringing me here", she replied with a smile that gradually appeared on her face as she said it.

"Thank goodness you like it. It's the first time I saw that smile of yours. Turns out, you have such small canine teeth. It looks cute on you"

"Oh yes. On the upper gums, right and left, each has grown in it. You want to take a look?", she said while opening her mouth widely with her hands to show him.

Yi Xuan found it amusing and laughed softly. Every movement, every small reaction that came out from her managed to catch his attention.

The long light conversation was surprisingly filled with laughter and funny stories.

That being said, Yi Xuan also seemed a bit different that day. The way he spoke, the way his smile reflected, everything was unusual.

At last, the moment ends with a light wave from each other on the sidewalk by the roadside, and ends the day just with a nice replaying of the purposely plan.

The sound of footsteps echoed loudly along the stairs, with each step bringing it closer to the art room upstairs. Nuan Qing, who was busy smearing colors on her canvas, flinched slightly when the footsteps stopped right in front of the door.

Without any knock, the door was slowly pushed open. A woman starts to walk in, looking straight at her. Her face was calm but there was definitely something unusual behind it.

"I heard you're close to Ru Heng. Is that true?", the woman asked with a tone that was flat but suspicious.

Nuan Qing nodded slowly as she put the paintbrush aside and fixed her glasses to its place. Thus, she replied again, "Ah- yes, why?"

However, the woman slowly approached her." Who is he to you?", she asked again in a serious tone

"Um... cousin?", Nuan Qing replied with a little confusion, trying to gauge her intentions.
