Cottage of Secrets — Episode 2: safe in the Shadows Vivianne woke to the faint light filtering through the tall glass windows of Luca’s penthouse. Her body still ached, but she pushed herself up from the couch, spotting Elian asleep in the guest room with a blanket pulled over him. Luca was nowhere in sight, but the faint aroma of coffee drifted from the kitchen. She stepped into the kitchen to find him leaning on the counter, shirtless again, scrolling through his phone. He glanced up at her. “Morning. Pain any better?” “A little,” she said, trying to sound unaffected. Before he could respond, a sharp noise echoed from the hallway outside — boots, several pairs, getting closer. Luca’s posture stiffened. “They found us,” he muttered. The words were barely out before the sound of gunfire shattered the balcony glass. Bullets ripped through the living room, splintering the coffee table. Luca grabbed Vivianne by the arm, pulling her low to the ground, while Elian stumbled out of the guest room in panic. “Stay behind me!” Luca barked, grabbing a handgun from a drawer. Vivianne dove for another from under the couch cushion, firing two shots toward the broken balcony. Within seconds, Luca was guiding them toward the private elevator. The ride down was tense, the echo of shouts and footsteps following them. They burst into the underground garage, slipping into a black SUV waiting with the engine running. Luca drove in silence for nearly twenty minutes before pulling up to an unmarked building on the city’s edge. Inside, the safe house was small but secure, windows barred and walls reinforced. “No one knows this place,” Luca said, locking the door. His gaze lingered on Vivianne for a moment longer than necessary. “You’re safe here.” Elian exhaled in relief, but Vivianne’s heart was still pounding. She wasn’t sure what scared her more — the attack, or the fact she was starting to trust him.

maybe ? but atleast we can breathe for some time

and plan something out in the mean time

I am feeling pretty exhausted now I am gonna rest * walks to the bedroom*

vivianne stays with elian until he sleeps and then came to the living room and decides to have a one on one conversation to him .

hey can I talk to you for a little while ?

luca

yeah sure *was looking in his laptop doing some work*

*puts his laptop away *

you know there's more to me than a mafia profile.I grew up feeling so bad that my family only cared about revenge and deals and business, but I wanted some peace. I understood that I was not like them, and then I decided to run away from them and moved in to NYC and was living in my NYC apartment for months. I have never felt happier .

But I also decided to write Blogs, so I picked it up as my job and I also had some good money since I was born in a luxurious family.

Then came the issues, and all this mess got created and we need to find the mastermind behind this. Who is he/she looking for actually ?

Thanks for listening to me and I know it seems to trouble you too, but It's just that i don't want to be fooled by the enemies .

I think I have feelings for you Vivianne. From the moment I laid my eyes on you, I wanted to make you mine so bad and I want to know what you feel about it ?

vivianne

I am unsure. I think this is not the perfect time for this. How can I trust you it's been only a few days that I have met you even though you saved us. My heart says you are the one sometimes, but I just can't my priority is to save my brother and survive from this mess.

The enemies might come here any second

yeah I understand.I want to prove that to you, I know that trust can't be made it has to be earned by one, and I believe you can give me a chance prove myself to you

yeah I do want to put my trust on to you something in me tells that you are a good person and I hope you can prove it to me.
