Seven

I make my way back to my room following the signs to the main entrance and going from there. Everything here is the same all the corridors and all the walls.

I finally make it safely back to my rooms and fall into my four poster bed. I have the worst luck, I can barely remember what happened before I woke up an hour ago.

I was upset because of what Austin had said and I ran outside, after that it's a bit blurry but I'm pretty sure some guards objected me in the neck which hurt like a bitch.

Then I can just remember numbing darkness until I was finally able to hear, and I heard Austin. I was never more thankful for him to be there but I was still angry with him until I heard him explain.

I bury my head deep in the pillows trying to stop my spinning head and queasiness. When I'm just about comfortable my doors slam open making my jump straight out of my comfortable position.

When I look up I see Austin looking at me with dark eyes, shit his wolf is near to surfacing.

"Maia." He breaths out and visibly relaxes, he walks over to me and pulls my into a bone crushing hug "I bought something had happened to you. Doc told me you were sick and had run back here. I got here and you weren't here so I got worried."

"Yeah I got slightly lost, this place is just so big." I say smiling shyly avoiding his intense gaze "and I'm perfectly alright."

He pulls away then grips my hand like Doc did and takes my pulse "your pulse is weak my love, and your very pale."

"I-I'm fine." I gulp as my head starts pounding once again, it's stopped when I touched Austin. It's the mate bond.

"Well I have stationed some guards outside the door so if anything happens to you just shout." He says caressing my cheek gently.

"I'm not a baby, I can take care of myself Austin. I don't need guards." I say getting annoyed by all this new attention I'm getting, it'll only get worse when I'm announce as Luna.

"I bet you can take care of yourself, but you are future Luna, even if nobody knows we still have to take precautions. I could never live with myself if anything was to happen to you." Austin say then places a kiss to my forehead and I smile.

He stands up and steps back slightly and I smile following him up. But bad idea, I got up too quickly making myself sway and fall but Austin catches me in time.

He picks me up and lays me softly on my bed. He whispers soothing words to me and slowly, well after about an hour, I start feeling more like myself.

I glance at the digital clock on my bedside table.

5:56am

I roll over in bed unable to catch my sleep, my wolf is uneasy because Austin isn't with us. She wants him and so do I because since he left last night I haven't heard from him.

I huff in frustration and throw the covers off my hot body. I'm really hot which is just a sign from my wolf, that I she wants to mate Austin now.

I sigh and run my hands down my face. I stand up letting my bare feet hit the cool carpeted floor, I pull down my pj shorts that have ridden up slightly and rearrange my jumper.
