EP.4 (His Blood,My Pulse)
[Hospital – Emergency
Waiting Area]
The hallway reeked of antiseptic. Cold, sharp.
You sat alone on a plastic bench, staring at the white tiles like they’d reveal answers.
Your hands were still stained faintly with his blood.
You hadn't even asked his name. You didn't know anything about him.
Only an urge to save him at any cost....
Doctor🧑🏻⚕️
"Excuse me... are you a doctor?"(approaching, noticing your scrubs)
You didn’t falter. Your jaw clenched, steady and composed.
Seraphina Vale
"I am a Third Year medical student of
HR Hospital & College, Seraphina Vale.(standing quickly, brushing hair behind ear)
Seraphina Vale
How was he doctor? Is he safe? Ho.how is his condition doctor??
Seraphina Vale
"I-I was the one who brought him in..."
Doctor🧑🏻⚕️
"Then you probably saved his life."
He's stable now. Out of danger.
If you'd been even five minutes late,we might’ve lost him."
Relief hits you like a tidal wave. Your knees buckled a little—but you didn’t fall.
Seraphina Vale
"Thank God..."
(voice barely audible)
Doctor🧑🏻⚕️
"You did good, Miss Doctor." (placing a hand on your shoulder gently)
He was shifted to the General room after 1 hour.
The room was dim, the only light coming from the heart monitor’s quiet glow.
Beep...
Beep...
Beep...
Beep.....
He lay there—pale, stitched, bandaged. Scratches almost all over the body....... The same man who bled all over your hands... now alive.
Seraphina Vale
(stepping closer, voice whisper-soft)
“You’re alive...”
Suddenly, his fingers
twitched. Then…
???
(voice hoarse) "You..."
That voice—rough like gravel. It hit you in the chest.
Seraphina Vale
(startled, stepping closer)
"Please... don’t move. You’re still in a very fragile condition—"
???
(blinking slowly). “Where... am I?”
Seraphina Vale
“Hospital. You were bleeding out. I had to bring you in—”
???
(weak but stern)
“I told you… no hospitals.”❄️❄️
Seraphina Vale
(scoffing) “Yeah, well, next time don’t collapse like a stray dog on the streets. What did you expect me to do—let you die?”
A flicker of something crossed his face.
Guilt?
No.
Pride—bruised.
???
"I don't owe you anything."❄️❄️
Seraphina Vale
"No. You don’t.
But I owe my oath. I'm a doctor. I save people—even reckless, arrogant ones like you."
He tried to sit up. Winced.
Pain rippled across his face.
Seraphina Vale
“Stop that! You’re hurting yourself!”
???
(gritting his teeth)
“Why did you help me?”❄️
The question struck deeper than it should’ve.
Why did you?
Seraphina Vale
“I don’t know. You were dying. That was all I saw.” (Softly, almost ashamed).
He looked at you again.
Long. Hard.
As if peeling back your layers.
???
"You shouldn't have. You don’t know me. What I’ve done..."
(quietly)❄️
???
You are tangled with the Wrong person, "Young lady'! ( smirk slightly)
