Literally, i'm lost. I don't know what just happened but the next thing i knew, i am alone on the dinning area floor. Arkyn suddenly sets off with no reason at all. Conor whimpered in the lost of contact on our mate and hover me as he control over my human body. He ran after our mate but we lost him. Even his scent was suddenly disappear.
"Alpha Kaia?" a small hand held me back to my consciousness.
A little girl, maybe a three or four years old hugged my thigh as she cried. I can't make out her next words but she was so happy that even her small vocabulary couldn't express her happiness.
"King Arkyn had found you" she repeatedly mumbled under her cries.
"babe?" i kneeled down to level her small face. Her eyes was now swollen and her cheeks was red as a tomato. I gave her a smile but what had me bewildered was when she held my face with her small cold palm.
"it's really you"
I don't understand what she was saying cause she kept calling me alpha Kaia. Who the heck was that?
"Celeste?" old woman appeared infront of us but when she saw me, she smiled and greeted me with delight. "Celeste let's go, you're troubling our alpha"
The little girl detangle her hands around my face as she ran towards the woman and snuggle closer to her arms.
"Meridith, isn't he the Alpha Kaia?" she mumbled on the woman.
Meridith just let out a soft chuckle and put her index finger in between her lips as if silencing the child then shifted her gaze on me. "Alpha i hope Celeste did not bother you that much" she apologized. "you know, this kid was just really different"
I slightly shook my head as i offer her a soft smile. "don't worry, it's fine. I was just shocked when she started crying" i explained.
But i was so shocked when her emerald eyes turns black- ebony dark and her lips drew a creepy grin.
"history will repeat itself" the woman's voice turns gruesome as if she was dragging it from hell. Even celeste was now frightened by the woman's sudden change. "many will die, traitors would stab you on your back and the moon goddess couldn't do anything about it. Great war would occur putting everyone in extinction"
I was so caught me off guard when the hundred of blurred silhouette flashed beyond my eyes like broken shadow play. Conor howled in my mind like he was on great pain, along with it are chaos- great chaos. I hear cries, shout, shriek, howl. It was a total mess.
Then i blacked out and suddenly feel cold. So cold and empty as if everything's fell on abyss of depth as if i'd just die. D-did i just die? I haven't realized that i was crying until i felt a hand brushing away my tears.
"A-Alpha? Are you alright?" Meridith asked, now back again to her usual emerald eyes. She's not a vampire- i know.
