Later, back in his room, Jimin quietly closed the door. Tears blurred his vision as he set his bag aside and walked to the wardrobe. From beneath a stack of clothes, he pulled out a photograph and sank to the floor.
The picture showed a beautiful blonde woman, a strikingly handsome man, and two baby boys seated on their laps. Jimin's breath broke into sobs. "Why did you leave us alone, Eomma, Appa?"
His voice cracked as grief poured out. "Eomma, remember how Tae used to say I'm too sensitive, that I get scared too easily, that I cry over little things? Then how could he be the one to hurt me so much? Why did he separate me from you both and leave me alone?"
With his head buried in his knees, he whispered brokenly, "Why am I crying? Why should I cry? I'll only make Tae suffer, just as he made me suffer leaving me isolated, tarnished in everyone's eyes."
His tears hardened into resolve. "I despise you, Taehyung. You're my own brother, but you deserve it. You took my parents from me, stole my childhood. You've always been brave, showing off your courage to everyone. Now you'll face the consequences of that courage."
Wiping his tears with the back of his hand, he forced a wry smile at the photograph of the twin boys. "We're so far apart now, Tae. So far. I don't think we'll ever be close again." His fingers brushed gently over one of the children's faces.

"He fainted from weakness, but he's fine now," Hoseok explained with a relieved smile to Min Eun-je, who had been pacing outside.
"Thank God," she sighed, her eyes lingering on Hoseok as he exhaled in relief.
"I should let Appa know he must be worried," Hoseok said. After a pause, he stepped aside to let Min Eun-je enter the room.
Turning to Yoongi, Hoseok asked, "Does Jimin know about Taehyung's condition?"
"Yes," Yoongi replied shortly.
"And what did he say? Didn't he come?" Hoseok pressed.
"You know it's not easy for them to meet," Yoongi muttered.
"Then I'll have to do something," Hoseok murmured with a faint smile, already plotting as he headed toward Taehyung's room.

Golden sunlight spread across the jogging track where people ran, laughed, and rested on benches. Among them stood Jeon Jungkook. Clad in a gray jogging suit, earbuds in place, his imposing six-foot frame, raven-black hair, and mysterious onyx eyes made him stand out.
His flawless, pale complexion contrasted with the ink winding over his arms, the glint of piercings, and the proud cut of his nose.
Every passerby stole glances. Girls lingered, captivated.
"I don't care what he says. He doesn't even know who Jeon Jungkook is," Jungkook thought irritably, ending the call. He pulled out his earbuds and sat on a bench.
"Hello," a girl said shyly, gathering courage to sit beside him. "Excuse me, handsome," she tried again when he didn't respond.
Jungkook turned slightly at her voice.
"My name's Lee Mina. What's yours?" she asked, smiling nervously.
"Jeon," he said flatly, dismissing her outstretched hand. Her smile faltered as her hand dropped.
"Can we be friends?" she tried again, her eyes drawn to the marks on his face, aching to touch them though fear held her back.
Jungkook saw the determination in her eyes, that glimmer that pierced through hesitation. "Yes," he said, his tone chilling. "If you remove your eyes."
Her breath caught. "What?" she stammered, frozen.
"You heard me," he confirmed, rising smoothly. Without another glance, he walked toward his car.
Lee Mina stood rooted, staring at his broad back, a shiver racing through her. She licked her lips nervously, taking a long gulp from her water bottle as the weight of his words sank in.

"Did you know that DCG Hoseok is in love with a blind boy who happens to live with him?" Kim Ji-eun said to Hawk and Jungkook as she sat in the drawing-room, applying blue nail polish.
Hawk stopped smiling at her comment. "And why do you need to know that?"
"Well, it's important to know the enemy's weaknesses," Ji-eun said, casting a sidelong glance at Jungkook, who was marking something on a map on the table.
"Ji-eun, what brings you here?" Jungkook asked, his tone showing interest.
"I was just bored in the dorm, so I came over," she replied, putting on an innocent face.
"Well, it's time for you to leave," Jungkook said dismissively.
"But Jungkook, I want to stay here," she whined.
"Hawk, show her the way out," Jungkook instructed, noting Ji-eun's flushed face. Hawk stood up.
"There's no need, I'll leave myself," Ji-eun said, putting her blue nail polish away, shaking her hair, and standing up. She gave a lingering glance and a smile to Hawk before leaving.
"Leaving so soon, Ji-eun?" Kim Namjoon asked as he entered the drawing-room, holding a paper and observing her red, petite nose.
"Yes, it's been a while here," she replied, turning to glance at the indifferent Jungkook before exiting.
"What happened to her?" Namjoon asked, raising an eyebrow and looking at Hawk.
"She's a moody girl," Hawk replied.
"Here's the flight time and meeting location," Namjoon said, handing the paper to Jungkook.
Jungkook folded the map and took the paper from Namjoon.

Min Eun-je, noticing him getting up, asked, "How are you feeling now?"
"I'm feeling fine," Taehyung replied.
"See the result of your stubbornness," Min Eun-je said, retrieving a clean shirt and joggers from the wardrobe for him. After returning from the hospital, Taehyung had gone back to sleep.
"Alright, change into this, and I'll send the food up," she instructed.
"Okay," Taehyung nodded in agreement.
"Where is Minie?" he asked, twisting his hands.
"He came back from college and has just woken up," Min Eun-je answered, her eyes lingering on Taehyung's lovely face.
"How is Mr. Kim now?" Yoongi asked as he and Hoseok entered the room together.
"I'm doing well, Mr. Min," he replied playfully.
"Ahem... sir, I'm also here," Hoseok added, making his presence known.
"I know, there's no need to remind me," Taehyung said with a laugh. When Yoongi raised his eyebrows meaningfully, Hoseok scratched his head in confusion.
"Thank you, Mr. Min," Taehyung said with a charming smile and a slight bow of his head.
Min Eun-je gave both of them a stern look and told them to go for dinner before leaving the room.
"Okay, I'm heading out to see my friends," Yoongi said, adjusting his collar and smiling as he left.
"I'm sorry, Tae. My mistake caused you to fall into depression," Hoseok said, looking at his soft hands with a hint of embarrassment.
"You shouldn't be embarrassed, Hoseok hyung. It wasn't your fault," Taehyung quickly replied, trying to comfort him. Hoseok smiled in response.
"I have some good news for you. Tomorrow, it will change your life," Hoseok said, placing his hand over Tae's.
Taehyung smiled, nodding, and freed his hand from the gentle grip.
"Alright, you freshen up. Eomma will be sending the food soon," Hoseok said as he left the room, making Taehyung smile faintly.
"I wish that," he sighed, his heart heavy with a hopeful uncertainty.
