"Luisa..." He trailed off.

There we stood. On the steps of my home. I on the 1rst step, he was on the second. His brown eyes sparkles miraculously as the lamplight flickered in the night. They weren't full of the usual silliness and stupidity. No. They were full of concern.

"I'm fine," I lied... and it was evident. Before I knew it tears, immensly hot ones flowed down my cheeks. They've been held in way to long-For over a year and a half.

He hugged me close, tight, refusing to let go. I cried against him while his hands held me in a warm protective embrace. His lips against my ear whispering sweet nothing's. I no he was trying to be caring but it wasn't helping

It's not every day you date a sicko for a year and he suddenly comes out of the blue to break up with u. As if that weren't enough, kissed another girl infront of you and publicly humiliated you infront of his friends. It was beyond terrible.

"Feeling better?" He asked.

"Yeah. A bit," I admit.

"Reminds me of the time a friend of mine fell into an electric eel pond," He smirks looking down at me.

"WHAT!" I exclaim as I fall into laughter

"There we go. that's the expression I want tosee," He teased tickling my sides. The action only makes me laugh more.

"Thanks Xander," I chuckle. Then my expression dampens. Kai would have done the same thing.

Only, thinking about it now makes me wanna snap his head off.

"Thinking about him?" Xander asked letting me go.

"Yeah. I really thought... just..."

"you'd be together through college?" He smirked folding his arms

"Blame me for dreaming!" I sigh

He chuckled. "Hate to say 'I told you so'"

"Yeah thanks," I sigh

Silence.

"I know this sounds weird, but... wanna get revenge?"

"yes! Heck yes! You don't Break my heart and get away with it!" A devilish grin sweeps my face

"Then be my fake girlfriend," He smiled

"Yes... wait WHAT!?" confusion masks my face.

"Think about it. I and Kai are best buds. Seeing their Ex with his best bud would send him spiralling into jealously.

"You think?"I ask hopefully

"I know so. Kais the type that gets jealous easily. And when It's out of his reach to change, he can get crazy."

"I'd like to see that," I smile.

"so what do you say?" He stretches his hand to me.

My heart stats to race, but a voice in my head screams 'You really want your heart broken again? You really don't learn your lesson once huh.Thats how they are, sweet angels on the outside, but dangerous devil's on the inside. Try and see.'

I falter for a moment and his smile just widens."Take your time. I'll be waiting when your ready. promise you that," He winks at me

I laugh."Idiot."

"haven't called me that in a long time red head," he laughed as well.

I smile lightly. But a question runs across my mind. "Xander," I call making him turn back, those coffee caramel eyes flashing. "Why are you helping me?"

"simple," He smiled. "He hurt my friend."

And with that he dissapered into the night.
