Camila stares at the screen, hands clenched into fists. The image of Killian standing over the body from Elias’s mother’s murder burns into her vision
Comila Rossi
“You bastard… you’ve been lying to him this whole time.”
Her phone buzzes. A message from an Unknown Number:
“He deserves to know. Before it’s too late.”
Camila shuts the laptop, her expression torn between rage and fear.
Back in the training room early morning
Elias is alone, working the punching bag with frustration. His fists are raw, knuckles bruised. Killian leans against the doorframe, arms crossed, watching.
Killian cross
“You hit like you’re trying to hurt yourself more than the bag.”

“Maybe I am.” He snapped.
Killian cross
Killian approaches, grabs the bag to steady it.
Killian cross
“Punching walls and pretending you’re in control won’t save you.”
Elias moretti
“Neither will trusting someone who keeps their knife at my back.” He looked up gritting his teeth.
Killian cross
Killian’s gaze sharpens.

“Better a knife at your back than in your chest.”
They stare each other down. A breath apart.
Don Vittorio sits behind his desk, scribbling over territory maps. Camila storms in, slamming the laptop in front of him.

“Tell me you didn’t know. Tell me Killian Cross isn’t tied to the night Maria Moretti was murdered!” She spoke shaken up.
Don Vittorio looks up, cold and composed.

“Maria’s death was inevitable. Whether by his hand or someone else’s.”

“You’re using Elias. You’re feeding him lies.” She spat.

“I’m saving him. And if Killian feels guilt, all the better. Guilt is loyalty’s leash.” He lean in.
Camila storms out, trembling with the weight of the secret.
She ran to her room as she slammed door and lean against it as she fell to her knees.
Tears start flowing as he banged her hand on the door.
Little later with Elias and Killian at a market
Elias and Killian walk side by side through a crowded market, guarded by Moretti men. The “perfect couple” act. Cameras flash as they pass.

“I enjoy keeping you alive. Everything else is noise.”
A loud bang echoes.. a car backfiring, but Killian instantly moves, shoving Elias against a wall, shielding him. Heartbeats race.
Elias moretti
“Relax. You’re overreacting.” He mocked him chuckling.
Killian cross
“You’re not dead yet. That’s underreaction.” He said in a low teasing sound.
For a moment, the air shifts. They’re close. Too close. Elias feels it, in the way Killian’s grip lingers a heartbeat longer than necessary.
Elias pushed him off as he walks to the car Killian follows.
Silence fills the car. Elias looks out the window. Killian sits beside him, tense, fingers tapping his thigh like a loaded trigger.

“You ever think about walking away from this life?”
Killian cross
“I tried once. The world didn’t let me.” He said.
Elias moretti
“Maybe you didn’t let yourself.”
Killian turns to him, something vulnerable flickering beneath the assassin’s mask, but before he can respond—
BANG — an explosion rocks the street behind them. Smoke, chaos. Their car peels out as men with masks appear from the side streets, guns blazing.
Bullets shatter windows as Killian pulls Elias down, shielding him with his body. Camila’s voice crackles over the earpiece.
Comila Rossi
“Get to the west tunnel! I’ll block their signal. This isn’t a random hit. They knew you’d be there.” She spoke urgently.
Killian cross
“There’s a mole in the house.” He gritted his teeth.
Killian cross
“Lucien’s finally making his move.” He said coldly.
Killian grabbed Elias and left. They got to a safe house, The safehouse is a dim, abandoned bar. Killian locks the door behind them. Elias paces, still amped from adrenaline.
Elias moretti
“I’m done being the pawn, Killian. You know something. About my mother. About that night.”
Killian’s jaw tightens. He says nothing.
Elias moretti
“Say it!.” He said annoyed.
Killian cross
“I was there. But I didn’t kill her.” He spoke in a low tone.
Elias freezes, heart pounding.
Killian cross
“Your father sent me that night. I was supposed to be your mother’s protection. But someone inside opened the gates.” He step closer.
Elias moretti
“And you let her die.” He said in rage.
Killian cross
“I was outnumbered. She died while I was bleeding out on the floor.”
Elias shoves him, fists clenched.
Elias moretti
“You’ve been lying to me from the start.”
Killian cross
He grabbed his wrist. “I’ve been keeping you alive. That’s not a lie.”
Their breathing is harsh. The distance between them disappears.
For a moment, Elias doesn’t push him away. He looks into Killian’s eyes, not as a weapon, but as a man who’s lost just as much.

“Do you even know how to be human anymore?”

“Not until you.”
In the unknown location againz
Lucien stands before a map of Moretti properties, sipping a glass of wine.
Lucien valez
“They’re on the run. Scared. Good.
Send a message to the Moretti heir. A gift.”
He snaps his fingers, and his men wheel out a crate.
Inside- a body bag. Blood seeps through it.
Lucien valez
“Let’s see how far Killian will go to keep his little prince safe.” He smiled innocently.
