Medeis, the land of magic has a brutal past of oppression and revolution.

As far as its history can be tracked back, its inhabitants have always been divided into Royals and Rebels.

Royals had the best of everything and led a peaceful, privileged lives.

while the rebels, which was most of the population, was left out to fend of themselves.

They were oppressed, and discriminated against. Seen as lowly just because of the household they were born into.

Rebels had no hopes for a bright future, while the Royals bathed in light.

That is until, she rose up.

Elana Morins, a female rebel, born into the family of banned knights.

Her family was falsely accused and banned by the royals, so she grew up with deep hatred for all the Royals and thus started a revolution against them.

She fought in the light of the day and in the dark of the night, achieving her goals regardless of what she had to do.

after a struggle for 12 years, it is said the Royals and Rebels held a meeting, to allow rebels have an opportunity for a bright future, while the Royals could hold onto what they had.

This brought forward the idea of combine schooling, so that Royals and Rebels would learn the same thing and rebels would have a good chance to get higher positions and earn their positions as nobles.

while yes, Royals still had it easy. Rebles were finally given a chance thanks to Elana Morins revolution, and changes had begun.
