Evelyn was so focused in chasing her brother that she didn't see the boy standing in her way
She bumped into him and almost lost her balance. Just before she fell forward, the boy reached out and caught her. His arms were steady and gentle, holding her so she wouldn’t fall. Evelyn looked up at him, surprised. She felt a bit embarrassed but grateful.
