The team is mid-drill. Whistles are blowing. Mud’s flying. Jae-hyun is laughing as he dodges a tackle and slams the ball down.

On the sidelines, Coach Lee (Jae-hyun’s dad) claps once, gruffly.

Coach Lee

You’ve got a game coming up and half of you run like overcooked noodles!

Nam Do-yun

He says that with love.

Rugby Field – Later

Min-joon, still in his crisp uniform, stands near the bleachers with Park Eun-jae, arms crossed, watching the chaos unfold.

Park Eun-jae

This is what you stayed after school for?

Seo Min-joon

I wanted to confirm something.

Park Eun-jae

That the guy who tried to marry you after ramming a shopping cart into your spine is a jock?

Seo Min-joon

(quietly)

Seo Min-joon

That he doesn’t bluff.

Down on the field, Jae-hyun dives into the mud to stop a ball and comes up grinning — dirt-streaked, panting, alive.

Min-joon’s gaze lingers.

Bleachers – A Bit Later

Areum and Hae-in sit side by side, schoolwork in their laps. But Areum keeps looking up.

Han Areum

I still don’t get what he sees in the CEO. He’s cold. Inflexible. No fun.

Jung Hae-in

You’re talking about yourself.

Han Areum

(laughing)

Han Areum

Are you calling me cold?

Hae-in looks up from her notebook, smirks slightly.

Jung Hae-in

Maybe I like cold girls.

Areum stares at her, stunned. Then immediately drops her pen.

End of Practice – Field Edge

Jae-hyun jogs over to Min-joon, wiping sweat from his brow.

Lee Jae-hyun

So? How’d I look?

Seo Min-joon

Like a stray dog trying to impress a steak.

Lee Jae-hyun

(grinning)

Lee Jae-hyun

You thought I was impressive. You just admitted it.

Min-joon hands him a water bottle.

Seo Min-joon

You looked… determined.

Lee Jae-hyun

(flirting)

Lee Jae-hyun

Determined to make you fall for me. Am I getting close?

Min-joon turns to leave but stops.

Seo Min-joon

(over his shoulder)

Seo Min-joon

You’re loud.

Then he walks away.

Jae-hyun just stands there, holding the water bottle like it's a love letter.
