Wolf Eye's don't blink
Jungkook couldn’t shake the feeling of being watched. It wasn’t paranoia—not here, not in Black Hollow.
The academy library, where he tried to study, felt colder than usual. The ancient shelves creaked, and the scent of old paper mixed with something sharper… something that wasn’t his.
He gripped the table’s edge, his suppressant still wearing off. He’d skipped a dose on accident again. And that’s when he saw it. A shadow—tall, still—just at the end of the row.
The Alpha said nothing. Just stared. His eyes weren’t hungry. They were worse—curious. Like he was studying a puzzle… a trap… a ghost.
Jeon Jungkook
Do you always follow people?
Taehyung’s voice was calm, quiet, deep
Taehyung
Only when they don’t smell real
Jungkook clenched his jaw
Jeon Jungkook
Stay away from me
There was something wrong with the way he said it. Like he physically couldn’t. Like something in Jungkook’s scent pulled at him. Like gravity—but crueler.
Suddenly, a noise broke the tension. The sound of something cracking. Both of them turned as a cold breeze swept through the room—and one of the windows, sealed for years, shattered. Shards of glass flew inward, but the scent that came through was far worse than the cold.
Decay. Burned fur. Omega blood.
Taehyung moved faster than Jungkook could see, grabbing him by the collar and throwing him to the ground as a sharp, metallic object flew through the air—embedding in the wooden table where Jungkook had just been standing.
Slick with red-black liquid. Not quite blood. Jungkook stared, chest heaving
Jeon Jungkook
What the hell—
Taehyung
“Someone knows you’re here,” Taehyung growled low. “And they want you gone.”
Jungkook’s hands shook as he looked at the dagger. His name was etched into the handle—in red ink.
He felt like he couldn’t breathe.
But Taehyung’s scent surrounded him then, grounding and overwhelming.
The Alpha whispered, eyes glowing faintly gold.
Jungkook didn’t know why he let him. Why he didn’t run
Maybe because for the first time… he wasn’t sure who was hunting who.
