I have two thoughts about this.
1# is that the king is a statistic evil person. like how he’s the one putting all of the princesses through pain and suffering with his games. then afterwards he kills them off, little by little and now he’s planning to kill them all off in a mass haunting murder? I know you’re a king and you can’t be charged for any of these crimes, but still that is wrong.😑

2# i’m hearing these princesses whisper amongst themselves while glaring at Xingyu, I’m thinking they’re planning to wipe him out themselves, but even if they try and succeed, (which we all know they won’t😏) what are they expecting? Because The king will only choose one of them. So What happens if they don’t agree on who lives and becomes the new Queen? obviously that’s not gonna work out for them, because everyone’s going to die.
