Chp 5 : Never believe

Searching symptoms of pregnant in dad's computer. I know the thing inside trash bin is pregnancy test and it double line mean it positive. Big possibility is that who use that would pregnant by now but what confused me is who?. I can't easier accuse someone but there are two option within mom and Elly. I hope this is moms since she is married obviously and I will get a little sibling.. woah thats nice. However, my mind keep thinking about Elly because she was in the toilet before me.

(this pregnancy test was wet and have unpleased smell like it being used not long after)

"missing period, tender and swollen ******, nausea with or without vomit, increased urination, and fatigue...", this is more likely the symptoms.

(missing period??.. Elly got her first period on first year as high school's student, perhaps her physical appearance make her period came early)

(so if I'm not mistake, Sis could be pregnant but with who..?? oh maybe with the man, shes on phone every night... but wait I can't make any assumption yet... I have to ask mom first*)

I come out from dad's room and put back the pregnancy test to where it leave. Aroma chicken grill from kitchen can be smell upstairs.

Around 12pm, lunch is done. Mom calls everyone to eat except me because I'm already sit before mom finish cook.

"*mom!! I forget to tell you dad couldn't join us today, he continue evening and night shift and dinner also"

"oh really? your father working hard today maybe his promotion day is around the corner so he should do his best*"

Oh... I wonder why, there are a actually a few times dad working without non stop and that because of promotion, I hope his colleagues don't block his way.

Before Elly come down, I take an opportunity to ask mom about her weather she pregnant or not.

"*mom, do happen has something good to share?"

"about what?"

"anything?"

"ahh, yes, I have one..."

(kinda surprised but let hear her out)

"I don't know what happen to my roses... all of them didn't bloom well recently... did I forgot anything? but I had recheck twice later... ahh maybe lady luck not on my side"

(why mom talk about her flowers? this not gonna work out)

"other than roses*?"

Mom wonder for a minutes and answer again my question.

"my mango trees will have flower next week so in two month we can drink mango juice"

"noo!! other things... you know new not relate to your any plants... I don't want to know about them yet.."

"what kind of new you want to know?"

Her forehead wrinkled and stare at me with peculiar look. I should straight to the point.

"*are you... pregnant?"

"what..?"

"Amy! go to my room now*!", sis mad voice beat my eardrums.

Then, she go upstairs right away after provoke me.

I'm terrified. My both legs shaking and barely to walk normal but I manage to reach end of upstairs. I walk with heavy heart to my sis room. My mind say...

(did I touch sensitive issues?... why she has sudden angry look to me just now...?? maybe she mishear me chat with mom?? or perhaps she really pregnant.. no... please don't judge the book by it cover.. so what should I do? first of all I need to listen for what she about to said and think then action... thats the way... okays let's knock)

*KNOCK* *KNOCK*

"Sis? w... why you telling me.. mmm... did you have... mmmm...", lips shutter to much can't think any words.

"please don't tell mom about what you know", Elly start the conversation with confusing statement.

"*about what?"

"don't lie to me... you know what it is about.."

"but I don't understand"

"I know you notice my pregnancy test right? and you want to tell mom about it?? so thats mom and dad will hate me?? and throw me out from this family.. do you like it? or you do?"

(what is this to much questions.. which one should I answer first... but what if I answer it wrongly what will happen to us... it is my fault because im still kid and i dont know how to handle this trouble..?? should I just keep quite*??)

I remain silent.

"why don't you answer anything?? huh?? you don't like me anymore..?? you also hate me like mom and dad...?? will you ignore me like them..?? huh?? ANSWER MEE!!!??? so you complot me or are you the one that tell bad thing about to them..?? am k right..?? it is..??? tell me the truth Amy???

She forces me to speak. Pinch strongly my little arm and shouts at me. I am scared like Im facing a monster... crazy monster

"noooo!!! I never back stab you because I love you so much even we're not close anymore", crying.

She stops

"and I don't know that pregnancy test is yours... I just asking mom weather is hers...", still sobbing.

"what?? pregnancy test??", mom come behind me standing near the door.

(*when did she stand there? did she hear our conversation?)

"mom, thats nothing.. you must hear wrongly"

"at first I thought so, but my ears can listen well and I'm sure what ever I hear is true.. so tell me the truth... whats matter happen*??"

Elly tell everything to mom about pregnant, her boyfriend, even complaint about dad's cold attitude, bullies and stress study. I just hear from outside. Then, mom come out and say to Elly that they should wait for dad's decision tonight. Her face full of red color and wet because of her tears. Now any result would be on dad's hand.
