Ginevra is already a woman. At twenty years old, she is one of the most brilliant students; that's why she entered the university at seventeen, a rare case. Today, at twenty, she is about to finish her degree in Economics and Business Management. Although she leaves everyone in the university speechless, for her family that is not important. Her sister Elena has struggled to pass each semester, but for Ginevra it comes naturally.
She has ignored the warnings of "the witches", as she calls her stepmother and half-sister, and has insisted on conquering Matteo's love. He never ceases to give her details and make her feel loved like she never had been. The only problem is that he doesn't want to make the relationship known, "for now", until he talks to her father, or so he tells her.
Ginevra looks at herself in the mirror: the blue dress she is wearing accentuates each of her curves. It has no sleeves and has a not very pronounced V-neck; her hair is loose and she is simply wearing lip gloss.
She is more than ready to go out with her boyfriend Matteo to celebrate that she has practically graduated; what is missing is pure paperwork. She peeks out the window to see when her beloved's car arrives and to be able to go down without having to give so many explanations. She normally doesn't go anywhere, even though she is already an adult, but since she doesn't want problems with her stepmother and Elena, she does it secretly, taking advantage of the fact that her father is not there.
She glimpses the car entering and the lights of the same casting flashes along the way. She smiles and goes down the stairs, making sure nobody sees her. Her driver and friend watches her and looks away; he doesn't like that relationship at all, which only he knows exists.
Ginevra raises her hand and says goodbye with a wink. When she reaches the entrance of the mansion, Matteo smiles at her and she gets in as quickly as she can.
"You look beautiful," he praises her with a broad smile. He leans in for a moment and leaves a kiss on her lips before starting the car.
As he is a very good friend of the family, it is not strange that he goes out with one of the girls, but she still doesn't like that they might see her and start hindering their relationship.
While the car travels through the streets of Italy, he takes one of her hands and brings it to his mouth.
"I'm crazy to celebrate with you. I haven't stopped thinking about you all day," his voice is low and hoarse. That stirs every fiber of the young woman's skin, and her eyes shine with an excited gleam.
"I also wanted to see you. It's been weeks since I've been able to go out because my dad was home," she makes a small pout, and while they are stopped at a traffic light, he takes advantage and leaves a kiss on her nose.
"That's why I told you to see me today. Your dad is settling some business and I don't think he'll be back until the weekend," he tells her flirtatiously, taking his hand to the young woman's leg, which he fails to touch directly because of the fabric of the dress.
"When are you going to talk to him? You told me that after college; that was the condition you had set for me," she says lowering her voice a little to sound spoiled, although it doesn't come out quite right.
"Yes, honey, I know what I said, but we have to wait. You know how your dad is with these issues," Matteo excuses himself and quickly changes the subject. "And have you decided what you're going to do after you leave college, will you continue studying or will you look for a job?" The young woman sighs at his question and then looks away when she realizes that it's always the same: every time she touches on the subject of talking to her father, he excuses himself with anything.
"I've already told you that I want to work in a company. Maybe in Dad's companies, I don't know," she replies with less enthusiasm.
"I don't think it's the time for you to ask to enter the companies. The issue of the Russians has him worried," he clenches his hands on the wheel. Ginevra frowns and pays attention to him.
"And what about that? I thought Dad had already done business with those people a while ago," she comments, but Matteo immediately denies.
"It's not like that. No matter how many meetings your father has tried to consolidate, they refuse." She laughs and frowns.
"Don't tell me they are those retrogrades who, because Dad is Italian, won't do deals with him." The young man shrugs and turns the steering wheel to park in the place he has reserved.
"I don't know. I tried to talk to them and they refuse; your father did it and they have also refused. We had a dinner, but there is no human power that will make them do business with us," she stays thinking for a moment, but doesn't tell him anything. Then she sighs and straightens her back.
"Well, let's stop talking about work and enjoy the night," she proposes, and the man nods. He gets out of the car and opens the door for her. The first thing he does when he takes her hand is to squeeze it and wrap it around her waist. His eyes darken with desire and he lets out a growl in her ear.
"You are more beautiful than ever. I won't get tired of telling you that you drive me crazy," he whispers close to her lips, and bites her lower lip lightly.
"Yes, you've told me a thousand times and I love that you tell me," she says with her face flushed. Then, holding hands, they enter the place. She thinks it's a restaurant, but it's a five-star hotel; bright lamps and polished floors welcome them.
A young man greets him familiarly and tells him that he can go up to his usual suite.
Matteo doesn't notice her nervousness and, before she can say anything, leads her to the elevator.
"Where are we going? I thought we were going to the usual restaurant," her voice is hesitant and somewhat nervous.
"Love, we are practically husband and wife; the only thing missing is to let your father know, and that is a very small detail," he explains once the elevator is in motion. He corners her in a corner and steals a kiss that leaves her breathless.
Ginevra's heart races and, although she wants it more than anything in the world, she doesn't want to fail her father by being with him before marriage, although, in the end, that will be her only man.
Although she wants to flee, she relaxes and continues the passionate moment.
