Emma(FL)

Why? I didn't even say a word to her.

Nina(Emma's Co worker)

[Scene:HR Office -- Unexpected Meeting]

Sofia(Alex's assistant)

Emma Miller... There's been a complaint about you already.

Emma(FL)

What?! From who?

Sofia(Alex's assistant)

Someone said you were flirting with Mr. Knight.

Emma(FL)

I--I didn’t! I barely spoke to him!

Sofia(Alex's assistant)

(smiling sweetly) Tread carefully. This company eats weaklings alive.

[Scene: Office -- Alex appears suddenly]

Alex(ML)

Follow me.

Emma(FL)

Am I in trouble?

Alex(ML)

No. But I need to see you.

Emma(FL)

(softly) See me?

Alex(ML)

I don't trust you. But I'm intrigued. That's more dangerous than hate.

[Scene: Alex leaves. Emma breathes out shakily]

Emma(FL)

(To herself) What kind of place is this?

[Scene: Sofia slams her hand on her desk]

Sofia(Alex's assistant)

You won't survive, Emma. I'll make sure of it.
