Ungrateful~
Jeon Jungkook sat alone in the healer’s hut his dark eyes scanning the simple room with disgust.
The wooden walls the scent of herbs the creaky cot—it all felt beneath him.

Dirty, useless, shitty people (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ
He muttered under his breath his voice dripping with disdain.
His bandaged arm throbbed but his irritation burned hotter. He was a city man used to luxury not this backward village with no phones or internet.
He tried to stand eager to leave but the healer Hana stopped him with a stern look.

Your wound’s fresh.
She said, her voice calm but firm.
Hana (beta,healer)
Don’t move much, or it’ll worsen.
Jungkook groaned, slumping back.
Jeon Jungkook
I need a phone. Now.
Hana (beta,healer)
We’ve got a PCO, but it’s far, in the next town. Only some elders know about it.
Jungkook’s brow furrowed.
Jeon Jungkook
Then how do YOU know ~?
Hana (beta,healer)
I’m old enough to remember the world before this village. But the children here~? They’re happy without all that.

I need to call my family
Jungkook said, his tone is urgent.
Jeon Jungkook
Let them know I’m safe.
Hana (beta,healer)
I’ll help you get there but first you heal.
She pointed to his bandaged arm.
Jungkook nodded reluctantly closing his eyes. But the creaky hut the strange smells and his own restless thoughts kept him on edge. He couldn’t relax.
Then, a knock at the door broke the silence.
Tae stepped in, holding a small basket of food.
He said to Hana, his voice soft but tinged with irritation

Mama sent this for you… and that ungrateful brat.
His eyes flicked to Jungkook, sharp and unyielding. Jungkook’s eyes snapped open, narrowing.

Hey, be in your limit kid.
Tae glared his fragile frame tense with defiance.
Without another word he turned and left but as he did a wave of his omega pheromones lingered—soft floral and strangely soothing like a breeze through the flower fields.
Jungkook froze, his irritation fading for a moment.

Why do his pheromones… make me feel sleepy~??
Hana watching quietly noticed everything. She offered Jungkook a plate of food, but he waved it away his eyelids growing heavy.
The scent lingered in his mind calming the storm inside him.
Within moments he was asleep his breathing steady for the first time since he arrived.
The next morning Jungkook sat outside the hut his face twisted in a scowl as he muttered complaints about the village.
The fresh air did little to ease his disgust. Then he felt it again that addictive omega scent.
His head snapped up, and he saw Taehyung riding by on a bicycle a basket full of vibrant flowers strapped to the back.
Tae was heading to his mother’s shop his expression focused not sparing Jungkook a glance.
Jungkook watched him disappear down the dirt path the flowers swaying as he pedaled away.
Tae hadn’t said a word and for some reason that bothered Jungkook. He didn’t even know the boy’s name—not really.
the healer had called him. But to Jungkook he was just the fragile villager who’d saved him then dared to glare at him.
Tae meanwhile kept his distance. His father’s warning echoed in his mind:
STAY AWAY FROM THAT STRANGERTAE. HE'S TROUBLE.
So Tae ignored Jungkook focusing on his flowers his family and the peaceful life he loved.
But as he rode away he couldn’t shake the feeling of those sharp dark eyes watching him a storm brewing in their quiet village.
