I was never the one to be soft, but something was changing in me. I was a literal menace to the society.

Something snapped in me, in us. How old was she again? How long ago was she 12? Her last name, Meadows, was something I was familiar with.

Zade Meadows- that man was a combination of us five together. We loved him. He was a good friend. But even as friends, we never dared to mess with him. We knew he had lost his only sister when he was very young.

And then this girl, Aurora Meadows. Her eyes are what remind me of him. Did she not know that she herself had those silver eyes?

"Um, I have something to do. See you later, boys." I said and I walked a little close to Killian who was holding her. I didn't want to scare her.

"You, are a strong girl. Trust me, you're not weak. You are born to be Queen. You're just broken, not weak. But we will help you fix it all. Be good. I will see you later, moya koroleva (my queen)."

At once all eyes snapped at me in shock. Okay I was in shock too, alright. My Queen? Really Jer? I saw small smirks forming on those bastards' faces. I faked cough and left before they had any chance to say anything.

I came back to my room and immediately video called Zade. He picked up on third call, and he was very angry.

"This better be good, Jer." He spat but I took a deep breath.

"Zade, can you like leave everything for a couple days and come down to London? Before you say no, let me tell you, you will thank me for life once you see why. I don't want to give you any hope and then let it crush, so you will have to come here yourself. Please?" I asked looking at him straight.

Families were sacred for all of us. We worshipped them like gods and goddesses. You even get to your knees and beg for your family. So saying a simple please wasn't going to make me small, because I knew how desperately he was trying to find her ever since he knew she was missing. And probably was the only one who knew.

And God forbid, if it was her mother as she had said behind all of these, we don't even have to lift a finger. Zade will be enough to put her in a well deserved place.

"You said please, Jer. That's a.. Fine, I will come down tomorow itself." He replied after a whole minute of silence.

"And Zade, don't tell anyone. Just say you miss us and so you're visiting us for a change." I told him in a serious tone and he nodded.

We hung up and then Niko messaged me saying Aurora was sedated as she had another panic attack in her sleep. I pinched the bridge of my nose and sighed.

There was someone in my room Vaughn, this motherfucker assassin. He never knocked.

"Jesus, I've told you to knock so many times. Why can't you just come in through the door." I asked annoyed and the next thing I felt is two arms around my waist.

Been a while since he's done that. We are all bi. But that's not the question. Was he okay? Did anything happen? He was clingy at times, but only when something was wrong. Although, Killian is the first person he runs to, today he was here with me. Not that I mind..

I stood as I was. I didn't move. I felt his head rest on my shoulder. I felt his heart beat faster through my back, but his breathing was even. Something is wrong.

"What's wrong?" I asked and his hold on me became more tighter.

"Mom called. Dad was attacked." He said and my body went stiff.

His dad, was the Pakhan. He was attacked and now Vaughn has to go. When will he back? Will he be ever back? I turned around quickly and looked at him.

"Tell me you will come back." That's the first thing I ask.

Great Jeremy Volkov! Not asking if his dad is okay or even if he is alive.

He looked at me, his hands still on my waist. He leaned forward and now hugged me properly. He didn't say anything. And then I felt something hot wet my shirt. He was... crying?

My phone was in my hand, I held it in front and messaged the guys in the group.

Me: Something's wrong with Pakhan. To my room, quick.

Only Niko messaged me back.

Asshole1: On our way.

I rubbed Vaughn's back. He didn't stop crying. Few minutes later, the door opened and the guys' eyes went wide.

'What happened' Killian mouthed.

Gareth went behind me to face Vaugh. I don't know what he did. But then he came back in front of me and Vaugh stepped back wiping his tears.

"Dad, he.. he might not make it." He said taking a seat on my bed and looking down.

"Fuck! Are you serious?" Niko asked and he nodded.

"God, we thought Jer was teasing you again. You know how he messes with you and then says something wrong with Pakhan. We're sorry to hear that, Vaughn." Gareth said sitting besides him.

"I, I don't know what to do. If anything happens to him, I will be the next Pakhan. And then.." I know what was coming next. In fact we all knew.

He was always away from us. So much that we started having separation anxiety at some point. We all went stiff again. He was the most closed out between us. He spoke less and showed less than what he actually felt.

"No, you're not. Jer, is he being serious?" Niko asked looking at me and I nodded looking at Vaughn who raised his head and looked at me.

God those blue eyes. They always turned dark when he was feeling a lot of emotions. No, I'm not gay, I'm bi. And I know how to appreciate good things.

(Yeah yeah whatever floats your boat).

"I might not be able to come back. But.. I don't want to there alone." He said looking at me.

Did he want me to go with him? No, right? I'm just thinking things, yeah.

"Jer, can you go with me?" Vaugh asked and instantly all stood up.

"No." They all said before I could say anything and I saw how Vaughn's face fell.

Fuck me! At this point, I might really be a gay for him.

(Of course you are, you just don't know yet😜).

"Hold up, all. He asked me, not you. He clearly said my name. Why is that you are answering for me?" I asked and all were clearly shocked.

"Zade, he is coming down tomoro. I called him, but I didn't say why. So when he comes, take him to meet Aurora. I don't know why, but my gut feeling is too strong. Those eyes, they remind me of Zade when I see them. Both are Meadows. Zade's sister disappeared after her 12th birthday and Aurora said the same thing. As for the other businesses, you don't have worry about them. I was initially planning a trip to Germany or Italy, so I had them sorted. You three just have to be on your good behaviour." I told them and all opened their mouths to say something, but fuck, I only cared about Vaugh, this motherfucker.

God, am I really? No no no. You are just a good friend Jer. Although I was still stuck on the question as to why he came to me instead of Killian. Killian was his soulmate in all sense.

"Pack your bags, yeah. We leave in an hour. We can ask our driver to take us to the airport. I will have the Jet be clear and ready for take off." I told him in a more softer voice and he nodded.

"Also, when they said No, it was because we really get scared when you leave. So much that we get anxious thinking if you will return or not. Me going with you is like me encouraging you to leave. So, don't misunderstand them. We all love you, you are our best friend. And we do care about you." I told him and he went walked out.

"Next time, be careful. Because I fucking know, I will do the same for all of you. But with the hope that the day never comes. I will bring him back if its too much over there. If Aurora hadn't met us, we all would be going together. Because it was the Pakhan that was attacked. Which also means...." I stopped.

"Vaughn could be attacked as well." Killian completed for me and I nodded.

Killian looked completely fine. If it was me, I'd be feeling at least a little bad as the person who always comes to me has gone to someone else. But this man looked fine. Maybe he just didn't mind much.

"Yes, it's very likely. Maybe even before we reach there, if the position is what they're after. Vaughn is an assassin, he is fucking stronger than us combined. But as we all know, the only thing that is making him fall weak is his family. And if the Pakhan was attacked, it is very likely there is someone on the inside helping them, which puts the whole family at risk. So I have to go with him. I trust you all to have things under control here. Plus you can be our back up, if anything goes wrong." I told them and they all nodded before leaving.

I didn't pack much. Just some underwears, weapons, and a couple suits. I could wear his clothes at home. (Fuck me).

An hour later, I went to Aurora's room. Josh was leaving just then. He gave me a nod and left. I sat by her side and held her tiny hand in mine and kissed it gently. She just stared at me.

"Hi, Vaughn- oh the blue eyes guy, if that makes it easy to remember him. He has something to take care of. I am just going to be there for him, so he doesn't feel alone. But we will back soon. Till then, I have a surprise for you. It will arrive tomoro. I know you will love it." I spoke to her.

I stood up and kissed her forehead.

"I will see you soon, malishka (baby girl)." I whispered only for her to hear.

I walked out of the room and saw everybody at the car. They turned when they saw me.

"Where were you?" Killian asked and I gave him a small smile.

"Where I had to be. Be safe and be alive. All three of you." I said giving Killian, Gareth and Niko hugs.

Vaughn also gave them hugs but now he hugged Killian for a good five minutes. Killian whispered something in his ears and did I just see Vaugh's ears going red. His neck had turned a light shade of red too. It was probably something dirty. Killian and dirty go hand in hand.

But at least Vaugh now had a small smile on his face, although it didn't reach his eyes and ears.
