CHAPTER-1

NOAH's POV:

I've always dreamt of having a loving family of my own,a loving husband who will love me more than anything in the world and some cute and lovely children who will be the apple of our eye, that was my dream and that's all I wanted as an Omega but what I didn't knew that things will take a different turn and will change the entire route of my life.....

“When will you be back?”I asked my husband who was sitting right across me while having his breakfast. “Not sure, depends on how much work I have left”He answer nonchalantly and that's nothing new for me,he has always been like that even before our marriage he behaved with me the same way. Giving short answers, never asked any questions and never being curious about his partner. So just like the other times this time also he answered shortly and didn't ask any questions, but even though I knew how he was it still killed my mood so I stared at my plate which still had half of the food left but I didn't have the appetite to eat it anymore.

I looked up from my plate when I heard the sound of chair being pushed and saw Adrien getting up from his place.He finished his breakfast and was ready to leave for work. I also got up and followed him to the front door he was about to get out of the house when I called him from behind, he paused and turned around to face me. The expression of his face was saying that he's annoyed but I ignored it and said,“please try to come back early tonight, I have something to discuss with you.”He looked at me for some moment before turning around and leaving the house.

 I sighed as I saw him getting out of the house in a hurry, he has always been a workaholic, he spents more time in his office than his home. I entered the living room and flopped on the couch I rested my head at the headrest and looked out of the window. The sky is blue and clear today looking very beautiful,I stared at it for some moment when my mind started wandering and I started thinking about the past, the past which Adrien and I shared. I looked away and closed my eyes as I exhaled deeply and muttered to myself,“Where has it gone all wrong?......

“I'm so happy that our son Adrien has finally returned home. I just missed him so much.”said Mrs.Smith as she hugged her Only son Adrien Smith who just returned home after studying abroad for a long time.We all chuckled at Mrs.Smith's words, Adrien also smiled at his mother's words without saying anything and everyone present at his homecoming party gasped and started murmuring to themselves about how handsome he looked while smiling but he didn't even bat an eye on them.

Adrien's a Dominant Alpha with looks to die for, he's tall and handsome and has a great personality and on top of that he comes from a really well known family. His family is one of the top Conglomerates in the country,and they even have overseas branches and which is why most of the Omegas and Betas drool over him sometimes Alphas too. But unfortunately he's engaged, he has been engaged with an Omega from a really young age and everyone knew about that. So, even though everyone tried to take their shots at him no one actually dared to approach him, well.... it'll a lie to say that they didn't approach him just because he was engaged rather most of them didn't approach him because of his cold demeanor. Even though he is rich and handsome to death and ticks off all the boxes of any Omega or Beta but still people were afraid of approaching him cause his eyes always said something different, they were beautiful yet dangerous at the same time. Those eyes which has the icy blue color of the ocean, and was so deep that you can drown in them, and yet they were so cold that they can make you freeze to death.

So Adrien you're finally home!”Said my dad while patting Adrien's shoulder. “Well... seems like it Mr.Miller.”He answered back smiling.Both of our families were having some chitchat at the dinner table when all of a sudden Mrs.Smith stood up at her place and tapped the spoon at her champagne glass.The glass and spoon made a chink sound which attracted everyone's attention towards our table with curiousity. Having gathered everyone's attention Mrs.Smith started speaking with a gentle smile,a smile which was saying that she's the happiest person to be alive in the world right now.“As everyone knows that my beloved oldest son has returned home after a really long time and that's why I threw this party to celebrate his homecoming.”She paused for some moment and glanced at Adrien and me then again continued her speech“So,in this happy occasion I'd like me make some announcement which will live up the party even more. As you all know my son has been engaged for a very long time with the youngest son of Mr.Miller, but things were not official till now, so today I'd love to tell you guys that my son Adrien Smith and our son in law Noah Smith will get offically engaged today.”My eyes widened by this sudden news I instinctively looked towards Adrien just to find him looking at me with those icy cold eyes which bore no other emotions coldness.I flinched when my papa tapped me at the shoulder and told me to stood up, I listened to him and stood up in a daze when I finally heard Mrs.Smith calling both me and Adrien to the front.i started walking towards her while everyone were giving us a round of applause and say congratulations.As I finally reached the front Mrs. Smith made Me and Adrien stand beside each other.“Honey you both should hold hands now that you guys are offically engaged”she said smiling. I was about to refuse when I felt a cold hand getting intertwined with mine my eyes widened by the sudden touch of coldness which made my world spin.

All of a sudden I woke up in the living room of our house. I sat up and looked at the time it was almost evening. I was still in daze by the dream I just had. The past which I left behind and with which I didn't try to mess came back haunting me.“What was that? Why did I dream of the event which happened six years ago? Is it some kind of protest of my brain because of the decision I made? No no I must be really mentally exhausted ” II shrugged my thoughts as I got up and turned on the lights of the house. I was feeling a bit hungry because I skipped lunch, so I thought of making something light for dinner. I was almost finish with my cooking when I heard the front door opening, I looked at the time it was almost 9.i turned off the burner and started setting the table when I saw Adrien coming towards me. He's quite early today I thought to myself, but then I remembered I was the one who told him to come home early. Most of the time he eats dinner outside but on the days when he comes home early he tends to eat at home, so I placed two plates full of food at the table and sat down. He loosened his tie a bit and sat across me, he looked quite exhausted, so I didn't bring the topic up immediately. After a few moments I cleared my throat and spoke as we ate, I took a deep breath to calm my racing heart down and to stop the tremble of my body. I stopped eating and looked at Adrien to speak.“There's something I have to tell you” Adrien stopped eating and looked up at me for some time and asked calmly “what is it?” I paused for some moment before continuing what I was saying “I......have a terminal disease......which has taken a serious turn and I don't think I have much time left.....so I want to get a divorce as soon as possible and spent the rest of my time all by myself” I looked at Adrien as I finished talking just to find him looking back at me with widened eyes. I was quite taken aback from the look he has on his face.“W-what di-did you just s-say?” Adrien asked me with a trembling voice, and that voice made my whole body shudder. The man who was as cold as ice, who's eyes only contained coldness is now all of a sudden showing a different side of him. The coldness in them is replaced by terror and shock as if he wasn't ready for any of this. As if his world just fell apart.
