College Drama. ( Nobita X Dekisugi )
3
The sun was dipping low, painting the sky in shades of orange and pink. The playground was quiet except for the faint chirping of cicadas.
Nobita’s heart pounded loudly in his chest.
He clutched a small, crumpled note in his hand — words he’d rehearsed a thousand times but still felt impossible to say aloud.
There, sitting alone beneath the big oak tree, was Dekisugi — reading a book, his brows furrowed in concentration.
Nobita swallowed his fear, took a shaky step forward.
Nobita said in voice barely above a whisper
young nobita
Dekisugi… I… I like you.
The words tumbled out awkwardly, raw and honest.
Dekisugi looked up, eyes wide with surprise.
For a moment, everything froze.
Then, without a word, Dekisugi stood abruptly and started walking away.
young nobita
Wait! Please… don’t go.
But Dekisugi didn’t stop.
Nobita’s chest tightened — a sharp sting like the autumn chill in the air.
young nobita
💭Why… why did he run? Was I wrong? Did I scare him?
Nobita sank to the ground, clutching his note like a lifeline.
young nobita
I told him how I felt, but he ran away… Does that mean he hates me?
Doraemon moved closer and placed a gentle hand on Nobita’s shoulder.
Doremon
Nobi, feelings are complicated. Sometimes people need time to understand them — even themselves.
Nobita sniffled, wiping his tears.
young nobita
But it hurts so much. I don’t want to be rejected….
Doraemon’s expression softened.
Doremon
You’re not alone. And you don’t have to carry this pain forever.
He pulled out a small gadget from his pocket — a sparkling little hourglass with a soft glow.
Doremon
This is the ‘Growth Timer.’ It doesn’t erase feelings, but it helps you heal and become stronger. To face your fears, to be brave in your own way.
Nobita looked at the hourglass, hope flickering in his eyes.
young nobita
Will it make me… not scared anymore?
Doremon
It will help you grow. And growing up means learning to carry your feelings without fear.
young nobita
Okay. I want to try.
Present Day – Nobita’s Dorm Room, Early Morning
Nobita sat on the edge of his bed, staring at the window as dawn light spilled in.
His hands trembled slightly as he adjusted the sleeve of his shirt.
He thought back to that day — the confession, the running away, the tears.
But now, something had changed.
He was taller. Stronger. Different.
And yet…
The memory still weighed on him.
A soft knock came at the door.
Shizuka
Hey Nobita, you coming to breakfast?
Nobita took a deep breath, his lips curling into a small, determined smile.
He stood, feeling the unfamiliar but welcome steadiness in his heart.
Nobita
I’ve changed. I’ve grown. And maybe one day, I can say the things I couldn’t before… without running away.
