The Coffee That Spilled
KTH Corp, 12th Floor Conference Room
The long glass table gleamed under white lights. Executives sat in crisp suits, eyes occasionally darting to the man at the head — Kim Taehyung. Silent. Controlled. Commanding without a word.
Off to the side, Jeon Jungkook sat tucked in a corner seat. Coffee steaming beside his laptop, notes open. He typed fast, heart faster.

*Keep up, Breathe, Don’t mess this up.*
Taehyung’s eyes flicked toward him now and then — brief but sharp. Measuring.
Jungkook’s wrist nudged the cup.
Coffee spilled, fast and unforgiving. It splashed onto his shirt and notes.
Silence. Chairs stiffened, papers stopped rustling.

(panicking): I—I’m sorry. I’ll clean it up, I—please, just
He stood, fumbling for tissues. His hands trembled. The humiliation was suffocating.
Kim Taehyung(Alpha)
*Didn’t speak. But he stood, calm and controlled*
He walked around the table, pulled out something from his blazer. A pristine white handkerchief, initials K.T.H. stitched in silver and placed it in front of Jungkook.
No eye contacts, No words.

(breathless): Sir…?
Taehyung simply returned to his seat.
Executive
(clearing throat): Shall we continue?
But Jungkook’s heartbeat didn’t.
He stared at the handkerchief, Soft fabric, Clean scent, and that single flash of eye contact.
Outside the Conference Room
Jungkook rushed down the corridor, handkerchief folded tightly in his grip.

It’s just fabric. No need to overthink it. ❄️
Jungkook turned, startled. Taehyung looked calm, bored even.

Taehyung’s eyes lowered to the cloth.

He turned just as the elevator dinged.
Then someone came out of the elevator.
Black shirt half-tucked, sleeves rolled, holding a protein shake in one hand and a sly grin in the other.
Jackson (Alpha)
(Taehyung): There you are, heard someone had a dramatic little morning.
Jungkook still looks a bit flustered, holding the cloth.
Taehyung… expression unreadable.
Jackson (Alpha)
(Jungkook): And you must be the new assistant. The one who made Mr. CEO actually stand up mid-meeting? Iconic

(Chuckled nervously): Sorry, that was… not my best moment.

Jungkook looked between them, confused but amused.

Jungkook blinked. Jackson winked.
Taehyung turned away with a sigh, walking toward his office.
*Jungkook stares at the cloth.*
*Why does it feel like this was more than a handkerchief?*

(muttering): Why the hell is he still smiling?
Taehyung sat behind his desk, pretending to read. But his eyes kept drifting through the glass to Jungkook, who was now smiling faintly at something Jackson had messaged him.

I should’ve ignored it. But the way his hands trembled...

He shut his laptop with a little more force than necessary.
