Episode # 5
Night–Lana's family Apartment.
Dinner sat half-eaten on everyone's plates.
The dinning room felt heavy, like no one knew how to breathe.
Lauv stared at his food, untouched. Lana glanced at him worried. Their mother kept wiping the table, even though it was already clean.
Finally, she spoke, her voice soft.
Anna Johnson (FL& Lauv's mom)
Lana... I'm sorry about what I said earlier. I shouldn't have said that.

it's okay, mom.
Anna Johnson (FL& Lauv's mom)
No. I was wrong.
Her eyes filled a little, but she smiled gently.
Anna Johnson (FL& Lauv's mom)
I just want you to be happy.
Lana Johnson ( FL)
I know.
Their mother turned to Lauv. Her voice was careful now, as if afraid to push too hard.
Anna Johnson (FL& Lauv's mom)
And you? What's wrong, Lauv? you haven't touched your food. You look angry. but you haven't said anything all night.
Lauv Johnson (FL's brother)
I'm fine.
Lauv said, his voice low.
Lana Johnson ( FL)
You don't look fine.
Lana added, half laughing.

You look like anger from the cartoons called inside out.

Like you're able to explode.
Lauv's chair scraped back suddenly as he stood up.
Lauv Johnson (FL's brother)
I SAID I'M FINE!
His mother and Lana got shocked by his tone. Lauv grabbed his hoodie, not looking at anyone's anyone.

I'm going to the store.
Hee muttered and walked out.
Outside Link dot headquarters
Lauv stood across the street, half in shadow, half under the glow of a street lamp.
LinkDot's building shimmered like something from another world. Guards at the Front.
and then, there he was Dimitri. He walked out of the building with his family: his father in a suit, proud and straight backed. His mother, elegant in a silk scarf. And his sister, in a elegant long gown.
They looked happy. Like nothing had ever been broken.
Dimitri said something and they all laughed–even his sister. They looked... untouched.
Lauv watched them. His eyes didn't blink. His breath was slow. His hand slipped into the pocket of his hoodie. Fingers curled around a cold, heavy shape–a gun.
he didn't pull it out. Just held it. Felt the weight. The choice.
A cab pulled up nearby. Lauv stepped forward, opened the door and slid in.

Follow that car.
He said pointing at Dimitri's car which his family is getting in.
The cab rolled to a stop at the edge of a quiet dock.
Lauv got out, staying low. Ahead of him, a sleek yatch glowed with golden light.
music loud from it. Laughter. The clink of glasses. Rich people everywhere–dressed up, carefree.
He saw Dimitri helping his mother up the small ramp of the boat. his father followed, then his sister.
they were greeted warmly by the other guests. Handshakes. Kisses on cheeks.
Lauv stood behind a crate, barely breathing. The gun was still in his hoodie pocket.
But he didn't move. Just watched. A storm swirling in his chest.
Few minutes later–Yacht bathroom
Dimitri stood alone at the sink, fixing his hair in the mirror.
Behind him, the bathroom door eased open slow, silent. Lauv slipped inside.
Stayed in the shadows. Watched. His breath steady. Eyes locked on Dimitri's reflection.
Hand in his hoodie pocket. he took it out, quiet, smooth. Lifted it.
He whispered under his breath.

You don't get to disrespect my family.
Dimitri adjusted his collar. smirked at himself. Unaware. Lauv's finger hovered over the trigger.
