Angelica Sosa's life had been an endless cycle of work and sacrifice. She dedicated twenty years to a common-law relationship that had left her empty and aimless.

Her partner's abandonment for a younger woman and the eviction from the house she had helped pay for with her hard work had forced her to start from scratch, but she had not given up.
