I'm camping alone in the middle of the forest. Don’t get me wrong—it’s a safe place, at least this part of it. No wild animals prowling around… unless you wander deeper. Right now, I was searching for firewood, hoping to get a fire started since the sun dips below the trees.

Oh no, looks like it’s about to rain. I should head back to my tent before it starts pouring.
As I made my way back to the tent, I heard something—a strange, unfamiliar sound that stopped me in my tracks. Curiosity got the better of me, and I followed it, keeping my steps quiet and careful. Then I saw it. A shadowy figure, unmistakably human, was digging a hole... and beside them, lying motionless, was a body. A dead body.
I was stunned—it was the first time I'd ever seen anything like it. My heart pounded as I instinctively took a cautious step back, unsure of what might happen next.
I froze—too late. The branch cracked beneath my boot.

Oh no… please tell me that didn’t just alert him.
The man saw me. I run away, but my foot caught on a tree root, and I crashed hard to the ground. Pain shot through my leg as I scrambled to get up, the twisted root still tangled around my ankle.

Ouch! Please get up. Come on.
Footsteps echoed closer. I remove the vine wrapped around my ankle, but I was too late. A silhouette emerged from the shadows—tall, slow-moving. As it stepped into the light, I froze. It was a man… his shirt soaked in blood.

See what ? But what should I do?
I saw a man reach inside his tuxedo and draw a gun, raising it steadily until the cold barrel was pressed against my forehead.

P-Please… I won’t call the cops, I swear,” I stammered, my voice trembling. “I was just l-looking for f-firewood… I didn’t know—God, I didn’t know this is where you… where you buried the body.

Damn it... this stupid mouth of mine—can’t ever shut up when it matters. (mumble)

You’ve got a death wish, don’t you? Should I start counting down your final seconds?
Anonymous
It's unfair, can't you start it 10?
Anonymous
Oh God… what do I do?” I muttered, my hands shaking, breath shallow, like the walls were closing in around me.

Goodbye Little Mouse.
