Chapter 4
Luca just woke up from his sleep and staring at his little savior
Enzo walks in without knocking. Always silent. Always precise. No wasted movement. No wasted words.
Enzo Romano
*voice low, emotionless*we got all of them
Enzo Romano
Everyone that laid a hand on you they're in basement
Luca Moretti
*without looking*good
Luca Moretti
*He stands. Cracks his neck, rolls his shoulder—stitches tight but healing*
Enzo Romano
*in dry voice*We’ve been treating them well.
Just enough blood to keep them quiet.
Nothing permanent.
Enzo Romano
Figured you’d want to… get creative once you’re back on your feet
Luca says nothing for a moment. He walks to the liquor cabinet, pours a drink, slow and methodical.
Luca Moretti
*flatly*I don't want them dead
Luca Moretti
I want them afraid.
I want them begging.
Not for life—but for silence. For mercy. For an end they won’t get.
He sips, watching the liquid swirl in the glass. Thinking. Calculating. Cold rage just beneath the surface.
Luca Moretti
Keep torturing them
Luca Moretti
I've something really good for them in my mind
Luca Moretti
I’ll make sure their screams are the last sound they ever make
Enzo Romano
*nods and left from there*
Luca Moretti
*eating*tell me Enzo, anything happening with the shipments
Enzo Romano
*eating*yeah, The shipments will be here on time
Enzo Romano
But the thing is you've to visit company office just once
Enzo Romano
after three days let me know
Enzo Romano
I'll make arrangements for your meeting
Luca Moretti
*clinking fork and spoon on plate while eating*yeah I'll let you know don't worry
Enzo Romano
*stands up while wiping his mouth*sure
Enzo Romano
Now take care of yourself
Enzo Romano
I'm going to meet my grandparents, they're calling me for a week to visit them
Enzo left and Luca finished his breakfast
Luca Moretti
*inside his study room, doing some paperwork work*
Footsteps echo—light, confident. Only one person walks in like that without waiting.
Antonio Greco
Morning, sunshine.
Luca Moretti
*doesn't look up, just waits*
Antonio Greco
*grinning*It’s done.
Antonio Greco
Everything you said. Every room. Living room, bedroom, kitchen—hell, I even dropped one in the damn bathroom mirror frame.
Clean work. She won’t know a thing.
Antonio Greco
You should appreciate me I did this in one night
Luca Moretti
*Luca’s eyes stay on the papers, his voice stays cold and calm.*
Luca Moretti
You sure she didn’t see you?
Antonio Greco
Please. I’m not new to this. she was sleeping like she hadn’t rested in years.
Antonio Greco
Didn’t even stir.
Antonio Greco
*He walks past Luca now, tossing a small remote on the table like a trophy, flopping on plush chair*
Antonio Greco
And because I know you very well, I added a little extra.
Luca Moretti
*looks up raising eyebrows*extra?
Antonio Greco
*Rolled his eyes*Come on.
Takes Luca to the separate room which is next to Luca's
Antonio Greco
* pushes open the hidden door.*
Inside: sleek monitors flicker to life—every angle of Sofia’s apartment on display. Her sleeping figure curled up on the tiny bed. The faint hum of the fridge. Her fingers still clutching that damn bunny.
Antonio Greco
I've just did little extra for my bro
A large black leather chair sits centered in front of the screens. A table with a crystal decanter. Dim lighting. No noise but her quiet breathing coming through the speakers.
Antonio Greco
*Grinning like a devil*
Privacy.
No interruptions. No curious eyes.
Just you… and her.
He gestures like he just built Luca a shrine
Antonio Greco
You can sit here, watch her breathe, talk to her plush toy, hum in the shower—every second.
She’s all yours now. Completely.
Luca Moretti
*walking in slow, eyes locked on the main monitor*
She was mine the moment she touched me.
Luca Moretti
* sits. Hands steepled under his chin. The screen reflects in his eyes.*
Luca Moretti
*quietly*
Now I never have to miss a moment.
Antonio Greco
*Smirking*
You're welcome, bro no need to thank me
Antonio Greco
*He leaves, door hissing shut behind him. Silence again.*
Luca Moretti
*Luca sits alone just her on the screen*
His voice is barely a whisper—something between a prayer and a promise
The soft rustle of sheets. A small yawn. Sofia sits up slowly on her modest couch, rubbing her eyes, hair a little messy but her expression warm.
Sofia Richie
(She stretches, pulls the small plush bunny from beside her pillow, hugging it close.)ummmm
Sofia Richie
(smiling, groggy)
Oh, Mr. Tabby… I’m sorry.
Sofia Richie
(She giggles softly, kissing the plushie's head like it’s listening.)
Sofia Richie
I fell asleep without telling you anything last night.
Sofia Richie
You know what happened?
(She pulls the blanket around her shoulders, like she’s telling a bedtime story instead of reliving a near-trauma.)
Sofia Richie
(softly)I saved someone. A man… he was lying in the street. Covered in blood. Barely breathing.
Sofia Richie
I was so scared, Tabby. Really scared.
(She hugs the plushie tighter. Innocent. Honest.)
Sofia Richie
But I couldn’t just walk past him.
So I tore off my scarf, tied it around his wound like I saw in those dramas.
Then I got him to the hospital. The nurses looked at me like I was insane.
Sofia Richie
(She chuckles again, tired.)
Sofia Richie
And guess what, Tabby?
Sofia Richie
I paid for him. My whole salary. All my savings. Gone.
She falls silent for a moment, eyes lowering.
Sofia Richie
But… I don’t regret it. Not one bit.
(She pats the plushie’s head gently, voice warming again.)
Sofia Richie
We have to be kind. No matter what.Even if the world’s cruel… we can’t be like it, right?
Sofia Richie
Kindness has to survive somewhere.
Sofia Richie
And if it’s just me and you carrying it…Then I guess that’s okay.
HER VOICE ECHOES THROUGH SPEAKERS
She’s glowing on the screen
Luca Moretti
That smile. That voice. That stupid little plush toy she talks to like a friend.
Luca Moretti
(His hand grips the armrest tight.)f*ck this toy. Smells you every night
Luca Moretti
(whispers)You gave everything for a stranger.
Luca Moretti
And you don’t even know that stranger wants to lock the world out just to keep you to himself.(chuckle darkly)
Luca Moretti
(He leans forward, jaw tight, hungry eyes burning holes into the screen.)
Luca Moretti
You think you’re safe because you’re good.
Luca Moretti
But good doesn’t survive on its own.
Good gets crushed
Luca Moretti
That’s why you need me.
Luca Moretti
You’ll never have to carry that kindness alone again, dove
Luca Moretti
Even if I have to destroy everything that touches you to keep it intact.
