Rajput's are ingrained in the culture and historical legacy of India through generations. Falling under the warrior Kshatriya caste, Rajputs have played a vital role in shaping every field, including wars, military, governance, and culture.
Rajputs have three sub-lineages, namely Suryavanshi, Chandravanshi, and Agnivanshi.
The forts of Rajasthan, including those in Ajmer, Jaipur, and Udaipur, are a testament to the influence and excellence of the Rajputs in India.
The Suryavanshi's, also called Raghuvanshi, are believed to have descended from Surya, the solar deity.
The Chandravanshis, also knows as Somavanshi, are believed to have descended from Chandra, the lunar deity.
The Agnivanshi, are believed to be descendants of the fire deity Agni.
The Rathod's Clan comes from Suryavanshi. Rathod's consider themselves the direct descendants of Lord Ram.

The Parihar's Clan comes from Agnivanshi. The Parihars were the founders of the Parihar Dynasty.
