EPISODE - 4
Jungkook, holding a tray with a cup of warm coffee and a folded note, appeared cautiously
JUNGKOOK
(His soft eyes glanced at Somi)
His face unsure yet gentle
JUNGKOOK
(Placed the tray on the nearby table, then took a deep breath and turned to Somi, stepping forward with the note in hand)
Somi spun toward him like a storm
JUNGKOOK
(Flinched, halting mid-step. His hand trembled as he held out the note)
somi
(Snatched it from him)
somi
(Read it, her chest heaved faster)
The more her eyes scanned the words, the more fury bubbled inside her
In the note
I hope you have a peaceful day, noona. Please eat something. You’re still beautiful even when you cry —Jungkook
somi
(Eyes widened in disbelief)
somi
(Crumpled the note and threw it directly at Jungkook’s face)
somi
YOU FUCKING *ITCH,I’M CRYING MY EYES OUT HERE AND YOU WRITE ME THIS? 'HAVE A NICE DAY?' ARE YOU MOCKING ME?
JUNGKOOK
(staggering back, eyes wide)
JUNGKOOK
(He instinctively raised his hands in surrender, shaking his head violently, eyes pleading)
somi
(voice breaking into a scream) ARE YOU BLIND ARE—WHAT?
somi
(Grabbing his shirt collar)
somi
Are you seriously mocking me? After what just happened? After that the *astard of a father tried to sell me off?
He didn’t say a word—he never did. But his eyes spoke
I wasn’t mocking you... I just wanted to help
somi
You think you can act innocent? You think your silence makes you better than me?
JUNGKOOK
(Tears finally broke past his lashes)
somi
(voice sharp like a dagger)
somi
If you’ve got the guts, that show your face when I’m hurting
JUNGKOOK
(Raised his head slowly, but the fear in his eyes only infuriated her more)
somi
(Slapped him again, harder)
JUNGKOOK
(Stumbled, fell to the cold marble floor)
somi
Stay down. I’ll teach you what happens when you poke at me when I’m hurt
JUNGKOOK
(Barely had time to register the next move)
somi
(Snatched the cup of steaming coffee from the tray and—without hesitation—poured it over Jungkook back)
JUNGKOOK
Ack—(a choked sound of pain escaped his throat)
JUNGKOOK
(Bit his bottom lip so hard it began to bleed)
The hot liquid seared his skin through his thin shirt
somi
(coldly throw the empty cup into his shaky hands)
somi
Here. Hold that. Play servant like you always do
He sat frozen, wet, in shock, trembling
JUNGKOOK
(His lips parted slightly but no words came. Only tears)
With that, she turned on her heel, her heels clicking across the floor like war drums, and disappeared down the stairs
The room was quiet again, eerily so
Jungkook, soaked his skin red and burning from the coffee, remained on the floor. The broken cup pieces glistened around him. A cut ran along the side of his hand—probably from when he caught a shard trying to clean it up
JUNGKOOK
(His body trembled as he forced himself to stand)
JUNGKOOK
(His breath came out in small, sharp gasps, and his fingers curled around the edge of the tray for support)
Blood dripped silently onto the white marble floor
JUNGKOOK
(He picked up each shard with shaking hands, wincing every time another sharp edge bit into his already burned palms)
No bandages. No time to stop
The mansion had other chores waiting. Mrs. Jeon would want her tea soon. Mr. Jeon hated late breakfasts. The laundry, the sheets, the floors, the dusting
There was no space in this house for Jungkook’s pain
Once the last piece was cleared
JUNGKOOK
(Stood by the large window)
JUNGKOOK
(Pressing a hand against the cold glass)
Outside, the sun was shining brightly
JUNGKOOK
(Smiled softly, bitterly)
JUNGKOOK
(A Single tear slid from his right eye)
Jungkook had lost both of his parents in a car accident when he was barely six. The screams still echoed in his nightmares. After that, it was Mrs. Jeon—his father's sister—who took him in
To the world, the Jeons looked like saints for taking him in. But inside these mansion walls, he was nothing but a shadow, a servant, a disposable piece of furniture
Somi had once been kind to him—years ago when they were children. But somewhere along the way, the kindness faded. Turned to bitterness. Jealousy?
Now, all Jungkook could do was endure
