E.B 5 – Frightened

Even with uwabaki on them, their footsteps echoed through the lonely, rather dark corridors of the second floor of the school. Suddenly there was a sound "Crash" that came out of nowhere and it startled Rintarou, and he immediately took Osamu Hayama by the arm, he asked his Sensei in a voice of fear.

Rintarou : “Sensei, what that sounds?”

Hayama : “I don't know, maybe it was a broken branch and it hit the roof of the school”

While they were walking and talking along the way the corridor, Rintarou saw shadow appeared on the school wall and it looks like a ghost. That’s makes him frightened, he suddenly hide himself behind his Sensei’s back, he told his Sensei while his finger pointed at that shadow and his voice full of fear.

Rintarou : “Th.. That.. A gho.. Ghost..”

Hayama : (Chuckling) “That’s not a ghost, chibi. That only a shadow of the branch, see it clearly chibi”

Rintarou’s hand kept holding Hayama’s arm tightly as he moved his head to the side and saw the shadow behind his Sensei's back, he breathed a sigh of relief and said to his Sensei.

Rintarou : (Relieved) “*Yokatta..”

The third things that make Rintarou more frightening is when he heard the sound of steps and a flash of light that comes from the corner of the corridor, once again he hide himself behind Hayama’s back and said to his Sensei.

Rintarou : “Sen.. Sei.. You.. You.. Saw it, didn’t..you?”

Hayama : “Yes, I saw it”

When he finished his words, he saw someone coming in and knew that it was the school security guard on patrol.

Hayama : “Look, chibi, that was Muroda-san”

Muroda : “Who’s there!”

Hayama : “It’s me, Osamu”

Muroda : (Smiling) “Ah.., Osamu Sensei, Konbanwa”

Hayama : “Konbanwa”

Rintarou also greeting him, as he saw that was really Muroda the security guard.

Rintarou : “Konbanwa, Muroda-san”

Muroda : “Konbanwa, Tsuga-kun”

Muroda the school security guard looking at them.

Muroda : “Why you are still at school?”

When he said that to them, he looked suspiciously at them and hayama knew it so he immediately told muroda before his student answered the question.

Hayama : “I need him to helping me with my work and we were at our way to going home, so please excuse us”

Muroda : “Oh, please go ahead Osamu Sensei”

And then they walking to the opposite direction of the corridor and after they both reach the stairs Rintarou told his Sensei.

Rintarou : “Sensei, let’s hurry to get out from here”

Hayama : “Why? Are you still afraid of that thing, chibi?”

Rintarou : “I.. I.. Just don’t like school when it was dark like this”

Hayama held Rintarou’s hand and said to his student.

Hayama : “Let’s go”

They walking fast to the school parking lot and as they reached there, Hayama took out his jacket and placed it on Rintarou’s shoulder.

Hayama : “Use my jacket to cover you from the night breeze”

After Rintarou put his Sensei’s jacket, Hayama also put the helmet on Rintarou’s head with gently.
