E.B 3 – Detention 1.1

When the class is over Rintarou put his stuff into his bag, after that he get up and walk to the teacher’s room. He knocked the door, bowed his head and talking to all of his Sensei.

Rintarou : “Konnichiwa Sensei, I’m here to meet Osamu Sensei”

Minato Sensei : “Oh, Tsuga-kun, Osamu Sensei is not here, maybe he’s still at the gym but you can wait until Osamu Sensei come”

Rintarou : “Arigatou, Minato Sensei”

He stood next to the cabinet and wait for Osamu Sensei to come to the teacher’s room, while he still standing and waiting for Osamu Sensei, another student came in.

He is a Student Council Secretary and his name is Saijima Takumi, he looked at Rintarou when he came into the teacher’s room, he stopped his steps and asking Rintarou.

Saijima Takumi : “Are you Tsuga-kun?”

Rintarou : “Yes, I am Tsuga and *Senpai?”

Saijima Takumi : “Oh, sorry I forgot to introduce myself. I’m Saijima, Saijima Takumi”

(Note from the Author : The meaning of *Senpai is Senior and they grade level differences in some school can be seen from the color of the tie they wear)

Saijima Takumi : “What are you doing standing here?”

Rintarou : “I was waiting for Osamu Sensei and Saijima Senpai, you want to meet Sensei too?”

Saijima showed up the file he was holding to Rintarou and saying..

Saijima Takumi : “Oh, yes, I have to meet Usui Sensei and give the report”

Rintarou : (Pointed to some teacher) “Usui Sensei is over there”

Saijima Takumi : “Arigatou, Tsuga-kun”

Saijima left Rintarou and going to Usui Sensei, after some moment he is back and talking to Rintarou again.

Saijima Takumi : “Tsuga-kun, I want to ask you something”

Rintarou : “What’s that, Saijima Senpai?”

Saijima Takumi : “If you have time, can you go to the students council?”

Rintarou : “Why? Did I make a mistake?”

Saijima Takumi : “No, you wrong Tsuga-kun. You know as a secretary of the students council I’m busy and I need you to help me”

Rintarou : “But.., why me?”

Saijima Takumi : “You’re the right student that I need, so would you help me, Tsuga-kun?”

Rintarou : “Tomorrow?”

Saijima Takumi : “Yes, tomorrow after school ended”

Rintarou : “I’m sorry Saijima Senpai, tomorrow is my sister’s birthday and I must have to go back home early”

Saijima Takumi : “How about the day after tomorrow?”

Rintarou : “I can’t promise you but if possible I will come to the students council”

Saijima Takumi : “That’s great, so see you later, Tsuga-kun”

Saijima waved his hand to Rintarou and Rintarou also waved his hand.

Rintarou : “See you Saijima Senpai”

Not so long after Saijima Takumi leaving the teacher room, Osamu Sensei came in, he is wearing jersey as usual he wear. Osamu Sensei looking at Rintarou and talking to his student.

Hayama : “You’re here, chibi"

Rintarou bowed his head and said to his Sensei.

Rintarou : “I’m ready to take my detention, Osamu Sensei”

Hayama : “Good, come to my desk”

Then Osamu Sensei went to his desk and Rintarou walked behind him still with his head bowed. Osamu Sensei put his hand on a pile of paper and said to Rintarou.

Hayama : "Chibi, here's your detention. You have to rewrite this data into this file and you have to finish it today”

Rintarou : (Widened his eyes) “That’s impossible Osamu Sensei. I couldn’t finished this today”

Hayama : (Squints his eyes) “Are you arguing with me?"

Rintarou : “No, Osamu Sensei, but Kaa-san will be worried bout me if I was late to go home”

Rintarou focused his gaze on the floor, he wrapping his hands together. The movement of his hands suggested that he was extremely agitated.

Seeing his disciple become so agitated like this made Hayama feel sorry for him, so he allowed him to call his parents.

Hayama : “I give you permission to call your parents”

He saw his disciple raise his head and look at him with a surprised look, he wanted to smile but he held back his smile, trying to make his face seem ordinary as he said firmly.

Hayama : “What are you waiting for? Call your parents and quickly started your detention, or you want me to make your detention more than this?”

With in a hurry Rintarou shooking his head and said to his Sensei.

Rintarou : “No, Osamu Sensei. Excuse me Osamu Sensei, I will call Kaa-san right now”

Rintarou was about to walk out of teacher room but he was stopped by his Sensei.

Hayama : “Where’s you going, chibi? Make your call in here infront of me”

Rintarou : (Shocking) “But Sensei..”

He stopped his word as he saw his Sensei leaning his back, wraps his hands and raised one of his eyebrows. Rintarou quickly put his hand into his school bag and took out his cellphone, he dialed his house telephone number and waiting for connection. A few seconds later he talking with his mother.

(On the phone)

Shinji : “Hello, Tsuga’s house. Shinji speaking”

Rintarou : “Kaa-san, it’s me”

Shinji : “Rin? What wrong dear?”

Rintarou : “Nothing wrong Kaa-san but today I must help Osamu Sensei, so I will be late to going home”

Shinji : “Oh, what time you wanna go home, Rin?”

Rintarou : “I don’t know, Kaa-san, maybe over 8 pm”

Shinji : “Alright, Kaa-san will save you some dinner”

Rintarou : “Arigatou, Kaa-san. I must leave now”

Shinji : “Bye, Rin and be careful when you get home from school”

Rintarou : “I will, bye Kaa-san”

Afterwards he pressed the disconnected button and put his cellphone into his school bag, then he sat down on the chair that Osamu Hayama’s pointed to him and started his detention.
