they left in the night reach the Academy in the morning
The Academy Gates – Early Morning
Ren walks in slowly, sleeves too long, eyes lowered. His steps are small and shaky on the stone path. Students stand in groups, whispering as he passes.
Student 1
[whispered]
That’s him… the experiment boy.
Student 2
He’s the Council’s pet project. They say he exploded a lab.
Student 3
[scoffs]
He doesn’t even look like he belongs here.
Ren’s fingers clutch his robe tighter. He keeps his head down. His throat feels tight, his ears burning with every word.
Student 1
[mockingly]
Maybe he’ll blow up the dorms next. Should we be scared?
Suddenly—silence. The air turns cold. A pressure fills the courtyard. Everyone goes quiet. Footsteps echo like thunder.
He’s tall, sharp-eyed, dressed in black and silver robes with the Academy crest gleaming on his chest. Beside him walk the infamous twin attendants: Ashen & Alaric
Ren dares to look up—and freezes when Kael stops right in front of him.
Kael Dravenhart (ML)
[disgusted]:
…This is it? The Council’s toy?
Ren doesn’t respond. His lips tremble.
Kael Dravenhart (ML)
[coldly]
I thought you’d at least look human. But you can’t even stand straight.
Ashen (ML BFF)
[smirking]
Should we leash him, Kael? He might run off and bite someone.
Some students laugh. Ren flinches.
Kael Dravenhart (ML)
No. Dirty things like him don’t bite. They just break.
Kael steps closer. Ren instinctively takes a step back, bumping into a stone pillar.
Kael Dravenhart (ML)
Alaric, Muzzle it
Alaric steps forward, reaching into his cloak. Something flashes—maybe a cursed restraint, maybe something worse.
Ren’s voice—small, hoarse, but clear—cuts through the air
Ren Alderis (MC)
[trembling]
They’re not… pets
A dead silence. Alaric freezes mid-motion. Ashen’s smirk falters.
Kael Dravenhart (ML)
…What?
Ren Alderis (MC)
[still trembling, barely standing]
They’re not pets. You… You don’t have to order them.

Actually he is Scared so he doesn't know what he is saying (just saying anything to save himself)
His voice breaks at the end. Everyone’s watching. Waiting. But Ashen glances at Alaric —just for a split second—and their expressions flicker. Not mockery. Not cruelty. Something else.
Kael Dravenhart (ML)
[flatly]:
…You’re pathetic
Kael Dravenhart (ML)
*turns and walks off*
Ren is left standing there.
