JK’s Mom picks up the letter from the mailbox
From upstairs, the sound of a sleepy boy’s footsteps

*yawning* Mom…? Did someone order me something?
Jungkook is sitting at the table half-asleep with a slice of toast hanging from his mouth

Kookie baby there’s a letter here… but it’s not for us

( hands him the envelope)

It says 'To: Kim Jimin'... but that boy doesn’t live here anymore

*blinks* ( pulling the toast from his mouth & looks at the envelope)
The playful drawings catch his eye immediately—the small heart, the little bunny and cloud doodles

(Turns the letter around reading the Korean words slowly)

Mm.. no idea who that is...

While you're heading to university today can you drop this off at the post office baby?

Something about it feels different—like the paper’s holding more than just words

* smiles gives his head a little pat & walks off *
Jungkook flips the envelope over notices the SK stamp and soft handwriting

*murmurs* South Korea??
He slides it into his bag but his fingers linger just a second longer than necessary
His mom’s words echo in his mind but his eyes keep drifting to the letter peeking out from his bag
He pauses on a quiet bench under a tree the world moving slowly around him

Gently running his thumb over the doodled heart and bunny

He tears open the top carefully like it might break if he’s too rough

Though born in Korea he moved to the UK at twelve...He could understand a few words but reading fluently felt like decoding a memory

He walks again but this time slower as if something inside him has shifted
