"Black, what happened?"

Black draven (DO)

The Letter:

Dear Son, If you're reading this, it means I'm already dead. I'm sorry-for everything. I know that because of me, your mother died. Because of me, you never got to live freely. That's my mistake. And for that, my punishment is dying with guilt. But I have one final request: marry Zarethyn.When you were a child, I made a promise to your grandfather-one I couldn't break. (rushing to him, panicked) "Black! Are you alright?" (catches him just in time, holding him gently)

Some time later - At the hospital

DOCTOR

"Mr. Harper, he's severely exhausted. From what I can tell, he hasn't eaten or rested properly for at least three days. His body just gave out."

David harper (PA)(EA)

"Will he be okay? Has he woken up yet?"

DOCTOR

"Yes, just a few minutes ago"

Black draven (DO)

(sitting up slowly, eyes red, voice trembling) "Uncle... get everything ready. I'm going to marry Zarethyn." (a tear rolls down his cheek as his expression hardens) "If that's what it takes to learn the truth about my mother... then so be it."

David harper (PA)(EA)

"Black, before anything else... you need to take care of yourself. I've never seen you like this. The doctor said you haven't eaten in three days." (his voice softens) "I know your father's death hit you hard, and everything feels like it's crashing down... but please, slow down. Just for a moment."

Black draven (DO)

(firmly, cutting him off) "I said-arrange the marriage."
