Would You Love Me ? (Pt.1)
x
Just like that Jungkook slept empty stomach.
As usual, Jungkook came down after completing his morning routine.
Jungkook (child)
#He made his own breakfast, ate quietly, and then headed out the door to school.#
Jungkook's schedule was grueling, as he was simultaneously studying for both 10th and 11th standards.
Jungkook (child)
*To manage this heavy workload, he had to attend school early and often stayed late.*
But today was something different. Jungkook's stepbrother/jimin showed up unexpectedly and requested to go with Jungkook.
They both sat in the car, surrounded by an uncomfortable silence.
Jimin, Jungkook's stepbrother, was aware of the recent events that had unfolded, and he couldn't help but feel that it was unfair the way Jungkook had treated his mother.
Jimin (alpha)
(I don't know why he didn't want to celebrate his birthday with me, well, I also don't like him at all.)
Jimin (alpha)
(His attitude is unbearable - he sometimes acts like a little child, and I find it extremely annoying and bratty.)
Jimin (alpha)
(Who would want to babysit a grown man? I know he's an omega, but that's no excuse to act like a spoiled kid.)
Jimin (alpha)
(One should know when to indulge in playful moments and when to embody seriousness, striking a balance between the two.)
Jungkook (child)
Yes *Said in small voice as he didn't want to talk to him*
Jimin (alpha)
I know what my mom did wasn't right. Your birthday should be celebrated on the actual day; it's not the same if it's not.
Jungkook (child)
*Jungkook's eyes locked onto Jimin's face, his gaze a silent prompt for Jimin to continue the conversation.*
Jimin (alpha)
You should have completely listened to her, Jungkook.
Jimin (alpha)
She suggested celebrating our birthdays on one day, alternating between mine and yours, to save money since we're just a week apart in age.
Name : Park jimin /Now jeon jimin
Age : 18 years old
Family : mom, stepdad and step-brother
Gender : male alpha (alpha)
Study: high school (12th grade)
Love : mom, stepdad
Hate : Jungkook (for being childish)
Jungkook (child)
*raised an eyebrow, his expression skeptical.*
Jungkook (child)
A week apart in age?
Jungkook (child)
*his eyes locked on Jimin.*
Jimin (alpha)
*Hearing Jungkook's question, his expression turned stern and his voice got serious as he thought of making Jungkook understand.*
Jimin (alpha)
A week isn't that much big of a time Jungkook, it could pass just like this. *he snapped his fingers to represent seconds.*
Jungkook (child)
*Hearing jimin's explanation, he turned his head away, a hint of frustration flickering across his face as he cannot put his emotions into words.*
Jungkook (child)
*he didn't know what he was feeling but whatever he was feeling it wasn't a pleasent feeling he wanted to cry in his mom's embrace.*
Jungkook (child)
*He chose to remain silent, a subtle and painful smile playing on his lips as looked out of window choosing not to correct Jimin.*
Jungkook (child)
*He was looking at the things with a distant gaze.*
Jimin (alpha)
*As Jungkook turned his head away in thought, Jimin couldn't help but think he was being childish again.*
Jimin (alpha)
*In a mirror image of JK's behavior, Jimin also turned his head away, ignoring JK as he started to gaze out the window.*
The car remained silent for the rest of the ride, the only sound being the soft hum of the engine and the occasional passing of other vehicles.
Ten minutes ticked by, and before long, the familiar buildings of their school came into view, signaling their arrival.
As their daily routine, they stepped out of the car and into the bustling school grounds, weaving through the crowds of students before parting ways to head to their respective classes.
Days blended together in a blur for Jungkook, marked by minor squabbles with jimin and a growing sense of resentment towards his father and stepmom.
Jungkook (child)
#He yearned for his father's attention, but it seemed increasingly out of reach.#
Before, his father would occasionally ask about his well-being, but now he didn't do that anymore.
Every time Jungkook tried to approach his father, his stepmother would start talking about Jimin, singing his praises and highlighting his accomplishments.
This constant comparison only fueled Jungkook's anger and frustration, making him hate his stepmother even more.
Jungkook's stepmom seemed to have a knack for finding creative excuses to skip celebrating his birthday.
On his 9th birthday, she fell ill on his special day, and the celebration was postponed to Jimin's birthday.
Now, she had devised a new reason, claiming it was Jimin's turn to have their joint birthday celebration on his day, effectively sidelining JK's 10th birthday once again.
Rumors had begun to circulate that since his mother's passing, JK had stopped celebrating his birthday.
Many assumed that the painful reminder of his loss was too much for him to bear, and that he simply didn't want to celebrate anymore.
Little did they know, the truth was far more complicated, and JK's stepmother's manipulations had been quietly erasing his special days for years.
Jungkook's father had also fallen prey to the rumor, assuming that his son's lack of enthusiasm for birthdays was a result of still grieving his mother's passing.
Unaware of his wife's manipulations, he accepted the rumor as truth, further solidifying the misconception that JK simply didn't want to celebrate his birthdays anymore.
From Jungkook's 11th birthday onwards, his father, believing the rumor that Jungkook didn't want to celebrate his birthdays anymore, stopped acknowledging and celebrating his special day.
Unbeknownst to him, this decision would only further perpetuate the sadness and feeling of neglect that Jungkook had been experiencing for years.
As the years went by, JK's birthdays became a somber and solitary affair.
On his special day, he would often retreat to the solitude of his room, trying to escape the painful reminder that no one seemed to care about his birthday.
Sometimes, he would find himself drawn to his mother's grave, seeking comfort and solace in the presence of the one person who had always made his birthdays feel special.
