The group chat was in disarray after the Unknown Number's ominous message. Maya, Chloe, and Noah were trying to process what was happening.
Maya
What does that even mean? "You can't escape the signal"?
Maya's eyes were wide with fear as she stared at her phone
Maya
Guys, what's happening? This is getting out of control.
Cloe
I don't know, but I'm seriously freaking out. My phone's been doing this weird static thing all day.
Noah
Okay wait wait guys, let's try to stay calm and figure this out. Maybe it's just a glitch or something.
But as they tried to discuss the situation, their phones started malfunctioning again. The screens flickered, and the static returned, filling the displays with an eerie, white noise.
Maya
Oh my god, it's happening again. What if it's not just our phones?
Cloe
What if it's something bigger? What if we're in danger?
Noah's calm demeanor started to crack.
Noah
Okay, okay, let's not jump to conclusions. We don't know what's happening yet..
As they continued to try and make sense of the situation, the Unknown Number sent another message

The signal is spreading.
The message was accompanied by a strange, pulsing image that seemed to fill the screens. The image was like a virus, spreading from phone to phone, infecting each device with otherworldly energy.
Maya
What is this? This is not normal.
Chloe's eyes were welling up with tears
Cloe
I think we're in trouble. This is getting out of control
Noah
We need to get out of here. Now!!!!!
As they tried to make a hasty exit, their phones started ringing. The calls were coming from unknown numbers, and the voices on the other end were distorted and unrecognizable
Chloe's hand trembled as he held his phone
Cloe
Guys, I'm getting a call from an unknown number. What do I do?
Maya
Don't answer it. It could be a trap.
But Chloe's curiosity grew bigger. He answered the call, and the voice on the other end was speaking in a low, menacing tone.
Voice on the phone: ["You're part of the signal now. You can't escape"]
Chloe's eyes went wide with fear as he listened to the voice. He knew he had to get off the phone, but his body seemed frozen in place.
Maya
Chloe, hang up the phone. NOW!!!!!
Chloe slowly came back to reality and ended the call. His face was pale, and his voice was shaking.
Cloe
Guys....I think we're in trouble...We really..need to get out of here...
The others nodded in agreement, and they quickly grabbed their belongings and made a hasty exit. As they stepped out into the bright sunlight, they couldn't shake off the feeling that they were being watched. The signal was spreading, and they were now a part of it.
