A Plan

I stood facing him not knowing how to respond.

"I'm up for it but how?" I asked

"You wanted to become an actor right?" said Lucas.

"No I was forced to go to the audition by my....friend?.." I replied.

He said,

"Well doesn't matter, just act out a scene with me."

I nodded my head and he whispered a scene in my ear.

I came out  from the washroom and Lucas was walking behind me.

"Oh my, looks like they are already close with each other!" Auntie joked.

"As expected, people who are alike really do get along" laughed Lucas's father.

Well, time to put the script into action.

I walked near Auntie.

"Aunt, I have a boyfriend at school..." I whispered.

"A boyfriend?! Break up with him immediately!" Auntie responded.

"But Aunt..." I cried.

Auntie looked confused cause I don't act like this at home.

Then I could hear Lucas talking to his father about how I was in a relationship for over 2 years and how I was close with this imaginary guy.

Why do I feel like I'm the sacrifice here...?

Lucas's father then looked over at my Aunt and said,

"Mrs. Noel, it seems that Celine here has a lover. Is this true?"

"Oh Mr. Brooks, that's not true, right Celine?" Auntie glared at me.

It looked like she was threatening me and I was terrified.

I have to act out my part...I can do this.

"Auntie, what are you saying?" I sobbed.

Auntie looked at me even more confused than before. I never referred to her as Auntie other than the times that I talk to myself.

"It seems like there's a misunderstanding here right?" asked Mr. Brooks.

"Mr. Brooks, Celine here is still young and she doesn't know much yet. I hope Lucas can guide her." replied Auntie.

"Auntie, I don’t want to break up with my boyfriend, please!” I begged.

Auntie was really mad and she looked like she was going to hit me any minute.

“Mrs. Noel, if Celine already has a partner, then why are you introducing her to other men?” asked Lucas.

Auntie sat still and sighed.

“Please don’t say that. Celine is really quiet at home and she never tells me anything. Mr. Brooks, Celine is at that time of her life and it’ll take some time for her to know what’s right and wrong. I’m sure she’ll realize that what I’m doing is for her good.” cried Auntie.

“Mrs. Noel, I get what you’re saying, my son recently went through that with his ex girlfriend. Then I think that it’s fine to arrange a marriage between the two?” Lucas’s father responded

“Father!” yelled Lucas.

“Lucas, keep your voice down. I let you have so much freedom, it’s about time I restrict you.” said Mr. Brooks.

I stared at Lucas not knowing what to do. He shook his head and whispered “Sorry.”

Auntie continued to talk with Mr. Brooks for the rest of the meeting. She was in a very good mood.

When the meeting finished, I left with Auntie.

“Celine, I don’t know what you were trying to do but don’t you dare do something like that again. You listen to me or you get out of my house, got it?” scolded Auntie.

“Y-yes….” I replied.
