I just escaped from the Orphanage with my bestie Rose.

My name is Marly and I am an Orphan just like my best friend. We have been tortured in the orphanage and we couldn’t take it in anymore so we decided to run.

To be clear I don’t have a place to stay after we leave there, so currently we are knocking on every house we can find to spend a night but they all said no”

We went street to street but it was for no use Rose was already tired so was I so we went to a very big house but Rose was too busy murmuring to her self with regrets.

She said that she won’t look anymore if this house were to decline us, I looked at her then knocked on the gate,

“Knock” “knock” “knock” almost immediately a woman in her early 30s came out and threw us a bunch of keys and said “take care of the house” and them left. She didn’t give me a chance to explain and just left like that.

The door was wide open and we needed to stay for the night to I took in my best friend who is half awake to the house closed the door and slept on a sofa. The next day I was woken up by a tap from the same woman I met outside in the night she had a horrible look on her face.

Rose was woken up soon after and we took a sit on the sofa,”I suppose you start explaining before I call the police she said threatening. I told her everything and how we ended up at her house and how we didn’t have anywhere else to go to, she understood perfectly and allowed us to stay longer than planned.

As we were preparing to leave in the afternoon the woman rushed to us and told us that she wanted to adopt us. We soo happy, that we had a place to lay our head. We started hugging each tightly and screamed happily.

Soon later the evening we had a discussion and I learnt that she was a newly divorced and had just finished the papers yesterday. We also found out her name was Jane and we can a call her by that too.

She didn’t want to live alone so she started thinking about adopting and we were the best option for her we thanked her over and over again and then she gave us separate rooms

We ha every thing we needed and we also started to school again we just entered high school everything was so good but a little big too good.

Our class mate were a lot so the class were divided into two classes Class A and Class B I was in class A while Rose was in class B because of this change we couldn’t see each other much often again.

Soon we almost didn’t even see each other at all, I was always serious in my studies whim Rose goes out to parties all the time.

Even in the house we only said hi to each other then leave each other we were almost strangers now. There was even one day that she became so aggressive just because I helped her pick up her bag she shouted at me and hissed.

Because of that we didn’t talk agAin and I soon started to not care about her again.

Two years already passed and we are not In one class but from what I have noticed Rose don’t come to school but her attendant and result were really good.

I kept on studying to get into a good university and our exams are coming soon.

On the day of the exam Rose didn’t show up and I thought she gave up on studying.

When the results were sent to the house I didn’t expect Rose to have a result too. Jane joined us and Rose and I were checking the results.

I did well and I was proud of myself while Rose did... GOOD how can she she even go higher in everything. I didn’t know what to think so I left her with her result.

After that day Rose had been depressed and recently went to see a doctor, when she came back she was crying and angry causing someone. During the night I went to get a night snack when I saw the paper that Rose brought in today it says she was pregnant.

It also states if aborted it may lead to death. No wonder she was crying her eyes out I just chuckled and smiled.

Jane decided to quit schooling and went out of the house for some unknown reasons.

I get to study the major I wanted and Jane was so proud of me
