The morning sunlight bled through the high-rise windows, but Taehyung couldn’t tell if it was dawn or dusk. He hadn’t slept. Not even a minute.

Wrapped in the luxury silk sheets of Jungkook’s bed, Taehyung lay stiffly at the edge, far from where Jungkook had sprawled out like a panther in his den.

A real one. Sleek, black leather with a diamond-shaped silver tag dangling from the center.

He grabbed it, reading the engraving with trembling fingers.

(Taehyung flinched)

Jungkook leaned against the doorframe, fresh out of the shower, dressed in a crisp black suit with an open collar revealing the ink curling around his throat. His hair was damp. His eyes were amused.

W-What is this?! (Taehyung snapped, pointing at the collar)

Jeon Jungkook (Villain)

(Jungkook smirked) That’s your ID.

Kim Taehyung

He strolled over slowly, like a predator savoring his prey’s panic.

Jeon Jungkook (Villain)

Personal assistant. Exclusive to me. That collar tells everyone you belong in my shadow.

I’m not a pet! (Taehyung yanked at the collar)

Jeon Jungkook (Villain)

No.. (Jungkook said simply, grabbing his wrist mid-pull)

(Taehyung’s breath caught)

Jeon Jungkook (Villain)

Taehyung tried to stand, but Jungkook pressed him back down onto the bed with a firm hand.

You’re not leaving. You’ll assist me. You’ll dress the part. And you’ll stay close, where I can keep an eye.. and a hand.. on you. 😏
