Fox Trickster (BL)(On Hold)
Chapter 2: The Alpha’s Claim
Author-shii~
Here we goooo~
Ren could feel Kieran’s gaze drilling into him, intense and unwavering. The wolf shifter had that signature Alpha stare—domineering, unreadable, and filled with an unspoken promise of control. Too bad Ren wasn’t the type to be controlled.
With a lazy smirk, he swirled the drink in his hand and leaned back in his chair.
Ren (MC)
Still staring? Should I start charging you for it? Maybe get you a painting of me so you don’t have to be so obvious?

Just see the expressions .....
Kieran
(Kieran didn’t even blink.)
You’re mine.
Ren (MC)
(Ren almost choked on his drink.)
Excuse me?
Kieran
You heard me.
(Kieran said, voice dark and unwavering.)
Ren (MC)
(Ren let out a low whistle, shaking his head.)
Damn, you Alphas don’t waste time, do you? What’s next? A wedding proposal? Maybe a collar with your name on it? Hate to break it to you, but I don’t do the whole submissive mate thing.
Kieran
(Kieran’s silver eyes darkened, a flash of something primal behind them.)
You feel it too. THE BOND.
Ren (MC)
(Ren had to bite the inside of his cheek to keep from laughing.)
The mating bond—something only wolves could feel.
Ren (MC)
*And I’m no wolf.*
But Kieran didn’t know that. He thought Ren was one of his kind, that fate had bound them together.
And that? That was a mistake Ren could have so much fun with.
Ren (MC)
(Instead of correcting him, Ren leaned forward, resting his chin on his hand.)
Ren (MC)
Oh, you mean that thing that makes you Alphas act like obsessive lunatics? Yeah, must’ve missed that memo.
Kieran
(Kieran’s jaw tightened.)
You can pretend all you want, but you can’t run from this.
Ren (MC)
(Ren gave him a slow, mocking grin.)
Oh, sweetheart, I’ve been running from things bigger, badder, and a whole lot scarier than you my whole life. Trust me, if there’s anyone who can run, it’s me.
Kieran moved fast—faster than Ren expected. One second, he was standing there, all brooding and intense, and the next, his hand was wrapped around Ren’s wrist, grip firm, strong, unrelenting.
Ren (MC)
(Ren arched a brow, feigning boredom.)
Wow. Congratulations. You caught me. Do I get a prize? Maybe a free drink? Or are we skipping straight to the ‘drag me back to your den’ part?
Kieran didn’t smile. He didn’t even react to the sarcasm. He just pulled Ren closer, until they were nearly chest to chest.
Kieran
You can joke all you want.
( he murmured, voice low and dangerous.)
But this? It’s real. And I don’t let what’s mine slip away.
Ren (MC)
(Ren tilted his head.)
Oof, possessive much? I think I just got chills.
Kieran’s eyes flickered with irritation, but there was something else beneath it. Amusement. A challenge.
Kieran
You’re enjoying this, aren’t you?
Ren (MC)
(Ren grinned.)
Oh, absolutely. It’s not every day I get mistaken for someone’s fated mate and hunted down like a prized deer.
Kieran
(Kieran’s grip didn’t loosen. If anything, it tightened slightly.)
Run if you want.
( he said, voice filled with quiet confidence.)
I’ll find you again.
Ren (MC)
(Ren’s smirk widened.)
Cute. But let me give you a little spoiler for this chase, Alpha—catching me? Not as easy as you think.
Then, in the blink of an eye, Ren twisted his wrist, slipping out of Kieran’s grasp with practiced ease.
Before the Alpha could react, Ren had already melted into the shadows, disappearing into the crowd.
Kieran stood still, his fingers curling into a fist.
This was new. No one—no one—had ever slipped away from him so easily. His wolf raged inside him, demanding he chase, that he claim, that he mark what was his.
Kieran
*Because He is MINE...*
The mating bond was undeniable. It didn’t matter if Ren pretended not to feel it, didn’t matter how fast he ran—Kieran would find him.
And this time, he wouldn’t let him go.
Ren leaned against the rooftop of the tavern, watching Kieran from above, a satisfied smirk playing on his lips.
Ren (MC)
Oh, Alpha.
( he murmured to himself.)
You have no idea what you’ve just walked into.
Because while Kieran thought he was the hunter…
Ren was the one holding the STRINGS.......
