Chapter 1: Serendipitous Beginnings

Yuzu

"Hey! What the hell is going on here!" I shouted at my classmates who were fighting!

"Why do you care so much, bitch!" One student replied at me. 

"Are you guys kids? Does our school teach something like this?! Enough!" I replied and "the leader" stepped forward. 

"I don't care if you're part of the Supreme Student Government Council, so if you'll excuse us. We have to finish this up." Their leader replied. 

I looked at the person and I gasped when I saw the blue hair, it was Shik. I looked at the leader and punched him in the nose then pulled Shigeko out there with me. 

"What the hell are you doing not fighting back!?" I shouted at Shik. 

"I just want to feel pain." She replied, smiling a bit. 

"What the hell?" I asked and smacked her on the back of her head. 

"You need need to stop thinking like a kid, dumbass!" I added. 

"Now we have a few things to take care of after class." I said and she only laughed. 

"Did you really think that I won't get my revenge?" Shik said and I smacked her on the head again. 

"Of course not, idiot! Mama will kill me if he finds out we're doing this again!" I exclaimed, then just ran back inside to my class. 

Shigeko laughed at me and went to her own class in the opposite direction of mine. 

Mei

"Grandfather, I know I can handle this kind of duty. Please allow me to handle this." I said. 

"I know you can, but you have to wait until you are old enough." Grandfather replied. 

"But Grandfather-

"No buts, Mei, maybe when you reach highschool. You can be the president but for now. Please just be yourself and don't worry about disappointing me." He interrupted me so I sighed. 

"Okay...I'll just be the top of my class." I replied and he smiled. 

"Oh yes, that's your job for now and when you get older, you'll be able to get my title. The Co-chairwoman of Aihara Academy!" He explained and that made me smile. 

'I am not doing this for myself, I'm doing this for my father, he said he'll come back. I know he will....Soon..'

I left and saw Himeko's car stopped in front of our house, I smiled and ran to the front door to greet her. 

"Himeko!" I shouted, greeting my best friend. 

"Hey, Meimei! How are you?" Himeko greeted back. 

"Did you manage to convince him?" 

I shook my head and she only sighed. 

"It'll be fine, you don't have to worry about that now. You just gotta be yourself." Himeko said. 

"But I really want to be part of the SSG Council." I pouted. 

"Hehe, you look really cute when you want to have something but couldn't." Himeko said. 

"Shut up." I said as we went inside together toward my room. 

"Meimei, you know that next school year, you won't be able to continue this, right?" Himeko said, as she held a drawing of two girls holding hands.

"Don't remind me, I'm only trying to bug my grandfather so he wouldn't suspect a thing." I replied. 

"And it seems you're doing pretty well doing that." Himeko agreed. 

"Just don't sell me out." I reminded her.

"I won't, you know that." Himeko replied. 

"Yeah, right." I said in a sarcastic tone.

"That was an accident!" Himeko explained.

"Hehe, I'm just kidding, you look like you're seeing death." I replied. 

"Stop teasing me!" Himeko said and she tackled me toward the bed. 

I tripped and fell down, we started tickling each other until we got tired and fell asleep. 

Shigeko

After class, I looked toward the gate and saw the same boys waiting outside by the gate. I only laughed silently and went downstairs. 

I saw Yuzu still working as she's part of the SSG, and she looked at me and mouthed the words, "Clean up your mess.". I nodded. 

I went out to the gate, and they followed me to an alley.

"Your little bitch earlier knows how to punch, can I get my revenge?" He said. 

"I'd rather you go through me first." I replied. 

"Huh, a girl like you will defeat me?" He said as she laughed, his followers laughed with him. 

"Try me." I dared him. 

"I'll go easy on you girl don't worry. But you won't be able to take me down." He said and attacked.

I smirked and jumped, I made a front back flip. I activated my instincts and my eyes glowed.

"Come and get me." I said and attacked them, knocking them down in one punch.

"You're weak, don't ever judge a person by their gender, bastard!" I said and punched the leader one more time before leaving.

"And one more thing, if you try to go to the police, I'll kill you." I said and left them trembling in fear.

I went back to the front gate and saw Yuzu waiting for me.

"Finished?" Yuzu asked.

I nodded, "It was a piece of cake." I said as I turn back to normal.

"Come on, let's go home. before my parents get worried again." Yuzu said and we started to walk home.

Matsuri

"Yuzu-chan knows I'm coming to sleepover at her place tonight right?" I asked to myself.

"I'll just call her to be sure." I said dialing Yuzu's number.

She answered within 1 minute and heard the traffic in the background.

"Are you guys on your way back home?" I asked.

"Yeah, why?" Yuzu asked.

"Did you forget something?" I asked, a bit disappointed.

"Oh, right! You're coming over tonight. Haha!" Yuzu replied, I heard them laughing and knew that they were teasing me.

"Oh, shut it. Is Auntie and Uncle home?" I asked. "My feet are killing me right now." I added.

"Why? Are you over there already?" I heard Shigeko asked.

"mhm." I replied.

"What the hell!? Why didn't you tell us earlier?!" Yuzu said I grinned.

'I pranked the prankster!'

I heard them started running so I quickly ran to their house before they could.

I saw them panting and I laughed.

"I just got here, idiots!" I shouted at them and Yuzu only smacked me in the head.

"Will you stop, you scared me." Yuzu replied and took her water bottle to drink.

"You started it first." I replied.

"But that doesn't mean you're going to follow up on my lead, dumbass!" Yuzu said and smacked my head.

"I just love pissing you off!" I shouted and ran inside the house as Yuzu chases after me. 

Harumin

I saw my phone lit up and Kaguro was calling me.

"Yes?" I answered.

"I'm outside your house in your backyard." He answered back.

"What do you want, K." I asked as I looked to our window and saw him by the fence. 

"Can we hang out?" Kaguro asked. 

"You have to be by the side of our house just to ask me that during a call?" I asked a bit surprised. 

'Is he really that dumb???'

I only laughed and went to our backdoor to greet him. I let him in to our front yard, and we went to my bedroom and asked him again.

"What is it really?" I asked, getting a bit impatient. 

"I needed to show something. This is what I saw on the internet: Summoning a devil," Kaguro said. 

"Don't you think that's a bit dangerous?" I asked. 

"We won't know unless we try." Kaguro said. 

"'Mom told me that demons are real and they are just lurking here and there waiting for the right moment." I explained to him as I trembled a little. 

"Don't worry, I'll be there when we do it. You're not alone." Kaguro said. 

"But what if something bad has happened?" I asked worriedly. 

"We'll be fine, Haru." Kaguro persist. 

"Fine, but we can't do it here. Mom will kill me if she finds out." I replied. 

"Yep, I know. Your mom is pretty religious." Kaguro replied as he laugh a little. 

"But we need things for this ritual." Kaguro said. "I have change here, but I doubt that it's enough." Kaguro said.

"Don't worry, I have money." I said and I got dressed and followed Kaguro outside to the convenient store to buy stuff needed for the ritual.

"It seems like we have someone to victimize now." A person said. 

"Oh yes, and one of them is pretty rich." Another person replied. 

"It seems that humans can't really stay down." The first person said. 

"They really love poking their heads in, where they get themselves in trouble." the second person replied. 

"Hehehe, let them rot where we are now and then we can use their bodies as host to gain our revenge." The first person said and laughed evilly.

****Time Skip**** (Let's just say that Yuzu got accepted at the Academy and I'll flashback the things that happened some other time)

Yuzu

"Are you excited for your first day, honey?" Ume asked.

"Yes, mom. This is 'The Aihara Academy!' One of the best school in our country!" I replied excitedly.

"Well, don't forget your bento here, okay? I have to get going." Ume said.

"Can Shigeko come to school with me?" I asked.

"Uh... I'll try to talk to your father about getting your cousin in, but don't tell her yet...You don't know what may happen." Ume assured and nodded.

"Aihara Academy! Here I go!" I said and started walking to school when I bumped with my old friend.

"Kianna!" I greeted.

"Hihi, Yu." Kianna greeted back.

"You excited?" I asked her with a smile on my face.

"You really are excited but I'm nervous, they said that we'll be having a test just right after getting back from school. I don't remember anything!" Kianna replied nervously.

"Oh, don't be so nervous. I can help you with reviewing stuff." I assured her and we both started to head to school together.

"Thank you! You're the best!" Kianna told me before putting her arm on my shoulder as we both headed toward the Academy.

Mei

After arriving at the Academy about a few hours ago. I only stopped to go to the library and noticed something.

"Eh?"

I said to myself before going toward a drawing on a piece of paper left by someone. It looks like marking. Like you see from a paranormal movies that involves the Devil himself.

"Is that...-The pentagram? Yes! Me and Kaguro will summon one tonight." Harumin interrupted me causing me to jump.

"And why the hell would you think that's a good idea?" I replied as I looked at her with one eye raised.

"Nothing...it's fun." Harumin replied as she went back to sketching a pentagram.

"Anyways, I'll just let you be. I'll just grab my book and leave you alone here." I said and left getting the book I want.

I bid a farewell to Harumin before going to the Chairman's office and stayed there until the bell rings.
