chapter 4

[in room]

Diana perched on the edge of the bed, arms crossed tightly over her chest. Her blue eyes narrowed with suspicion as she surveyed the girl lounging beside her. "So, it's my bed. Where will you sleep?" she asked, arching a perfectly sculpted brow.

Serra stretched lazily, flashing a saccharine smile that barely concealed the mischief dancing in her hazel eyes. "Oh, my Lady Diana, we're going to share this bed, sweetheart," she said, her voice dripping with amusement.

Diana's face contorted in sheer horror. "WHAT?! No way! I am NOT sleeping in the same bed as you!" she shrieked, scrambling to the other side as if Serra carried the plague.

Serra tilted her head, feigning a pout. "Oh? That's too bad… I suppose I won't be able to post about your overwhelming generosity on my timeline," she mused, inspecting her nails. "You know, how you selflessly agreed to help a poor, helpless girl like me… But when everyone—especially Charles—finds out that you're actually selfish and fake…" She let the words trail off, her smirk widening as Diana's expression twitched.

Diana's jaw clenched. "You wouldn't dare," she hissed.

Serra leaned in slightly, her hazel eyes glinting. "Oh, but I would."

Diana groaned, rubbing her temples. "Ugh. Fine! We can share the stupid bed." She shot Serra a warning glare. "But stop giving me that creepy smile!"

Serra clapped her hands together in delight. "Yay! Sleepover with my Lady Diana!" she chirped, dramatically collapsing onto the mattress with a contented sigh.

Diana scowled, yanking the blanket over herself. "Just don't touch me."

Serra chuckled. "Of course, sweetheart."

But what Diana didn't know was that this would be the worst night of her life.

Hours Later…

Serra pretended to fall asleep almost immediately, her breathing deep and steady. But her mischief was far from over.

Moments later, she subtly snatched the blanket from Diana, cocooning herself in its warmth.

A gust of cold air hit Diana, making her shiver. Her eyes snapped open. "Ugh! Serra…!!" she groaned, yanking the blanket back with a frustrated huff.

For a few seconds, peace returned.

Then—

Serra, still 'asleep,' pulled the blanket again, wrapping herself up completely, leaving Diana utterly exposed.

Serra let out a soft, contented sigh.

Diana clenched her jaw. It's okay, calm down, Diana. Just bear with it for one night… she told herself, taking a deep breath before shutting her eyes again.

She was just about to drift off when—

A leg slammed onto her stomach.

Diana's eyes snapped open in horror. "Hey…!! Stay away from me!!" she whined, struggling to push Serra's leg off her. But the girl remained blissfully unaware of the chaos she was causing in her deep slumber.

And then it got worse.

Out of nowhere, Serra kicked her. Hard.

"OUCH! Serra!!!" Diana yelped, rubbing her sore leg. She glared daggers at the sleeping troublemaker. "Are you even a girl?!" she hissed under her breath.

Before she could recover, Serra rolled over—and plopped her entire weight onto Diana.

Diana gasped, the air knocked out of her lungs. "Serra, get off me!!" she wheezed, struggling to shove her off, but Serra remained as immovable as a rock.

And just like that, Diana knew—this was going to be the longest, most miserable night of her life.

[Around 3:00 AM]

A loud thud echoed through the room.

Diana groaned, rubbing her elbow as she blinked at the floor in disbelief. She had fallen off the bed.

Again.

Meanwhile, Serra sprawled across the entire mattress, wrapped snugly in the blanket, sleeping like a baby—completely oblivious to the torment she had inflicted.

Diana clenched her fists. "ENOUGH! I CAN'T BEAR THIS ANYMORE!" she exploded, her fury crackling through the air.

She shot a deadly glare at Serra, who, despite the chaos, remained undisturbed, smiling in her sleep as if she were having the best rest of her life.

Diana's eye twitched. "Unbelievable… This b!tch is sleeping so comfortably while making my night a living hell..!!" she gritted out.

Frustrated, she checked the time. 3:00 AM.

She groaned. "Ugh! I can't go to Charles now, he's already asleep. Guess I'll just go back to my own room…"

With one last venomous glare at Serra, Diana stormed out, slamming the door shut behind her.

The noise made Serra stir slightly, but instead of waking up, she instinctively pulled the blanket tighter around herself, curling into a cozy ball. A deep, contented sigh escaped her lips as she snuggled deeper into the warmth of the bed.

A small, victorious smile formed on her lips as she drifted off again, completely relaxed. "It's just the beginning, my Lady Diana…" she murmured in her sleep, the smirk never leaving her face.

[Next Morning]

Serra waltzed into the dining hall, stretching her arms with a pleased sigh. She looked well-rested, her face positively glowing with contentment. A faint hum of a tune escaped her lips as she strolled toward Nick and Jane.

But her peaceful morning was short-lived.

"SERAPHINA CALDERON..!!!"

Diana's enraged voice shattered the quiet atmosphere, silencing the murmurs of the students around them.

Serra blinked, lips curling into an innocent smile as she turned to face the furious blonde storming toward her.

"Yes?" she drawled sweetly.

Diana's heels clicked sharply against the floor as she shoved her phone right into Serra's face. "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!" she screeched.

Serra lazily glanced at the screen—

[University's Confession Page]

"Some people never change their habits, like Diana. She is so fake..! Last night, she sweet-talked Serra into believing she'd help her, but in the middle of the night, she ran off, leaving the poor soul all alone. She shouldn't have lied..! Aww, poor Serra, she really believed Diana. But in the end, Diana is just so scheming..."

Laughter erupted across the dining hall. Whispers spread like wildfire, eyes darting between Diana and Serra. Some students smirked, while others shot Diana looks of disapproval.

Diana's face turned a dangerous shade of red, her hands trembling with barely contained rage.

"P-Poor soul?! YOU?! Like seriously?!" She seethed through gritted teeth.

Serra simply shrugged, tilting her head slightly. "Well… it's true, isn't it?"

Diana's nostrils flared, her grip on the phone tightening so much that her knuckles turned white. Her body trembled with the urge to strangle Serra on the spot.

"HOW DARE YOU, SERRA?!" Her voice rose, fury dripping from every word. "WHY DID YOU DO THIS?!"

Serra remained completely unbothered, her hazel eyes twinkling with mischief.

"I don't care. Go ahead, tell everyone. My mission was accomplished anyway." she smiled twistedly..

Diana's eyebrows furrowed, confusion briefly flickering in her furious eyes. "Mission? What mission?"

Serra took a slow step forward, leaning slightly toward Diana, her lips curling into a devilish smirk. "To not let you spend the night with Charles." she whispered while a smirk tugged in her lips.

Diana's eyes widened for a second before pure, unfiltered rage took over.

"YOU B¡TCH..!! She nearly shrieked, her voice laced with venom. "YOU'RE SUCH A LIAR..!!!"

Serra simply chuckled, stepping back and flashing Diana an infuriatingly smug smile. "I know I am..." she winked at her with a devilish smirk as if she hadn't just turned Diana's morning into a living nightmare.

From across the hall, Charles leaned against the wall, arms crossed as he watched the fiery exchange between Diana and Serra. His dark eyes narrowed slightly, a cold smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.

"You will see consequences…!!" Diana's voice was low, but the promise of trouble was clear in her tone. Then she, still fuming, stomped towards Charles, leaving from there looping her arm around Charles'. Her high heels clicking furiously against the floor.

Serra, ever the instigator, raised her voice mockingly. "Ciao, Lady Diana…!!" She waved dramatically, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

The students erupted into laughter, thoroughly enjoying the free morning entertainment. Some whispered, others chuckled, while a few even started taking bets on when the next clash between the two wild cats would happen.
