First meet
The air inside Valerian’s Empire was thick with power—the kind that suffocated, that made grown men sweat despite the coldness of the room. The underworld's most feared mafia bosses from across the globe were gathered around the grand, obsidian conference table, their faces unreadable, their guards stationed at every corner like shadows ready to strike.
Yet, only one man truly owned the room.
Seated at the head of the table, Lucifer Enrico Valerian exuded a presence so dominant, so dangerously calm, that no one dared to speak until he did. 6’7” of raw authority, power draped over him like a second skin. His tailored black suit hugged his sculpted frame, the expensive Rolex on his wrist glinting under the dim chandelier lights. A devil in disguise, untouchable, unreadable.
With one sharp flick of his fingers, a golden lighter clicked open, the flame dancing in the reflection of his cold, ocean-blue eyes. He lit his cigar with a slow, practiced ease, inhaling deeply before exhaling a cloud of smoke that curled in the air like a warning.
No one dared to breathe wrong.

“Let’s make one thing clear,”
Lucifer’s voice was low, deep, and commanding, sending a shiver down the spine of even the most hardened criminals in the room

“I don’t negotiate. I dictate. If you have a problem with that—”
(his piercing gaze swept over the men seated before him, )
“—then you can leave. But remember, the only way out of my empire is in a body bag.”
Silence.
Deadly. Absolute.
A Russian mafia boss shifted uncomfortably, sweat trickling down his temple. The Chinese Triad leader kept his head low, while the Yakuza lord sat with his hands folded, masking his unease. They had power, yes—but Lucifer Enrico Valerian was a force beyond power.
A knock at the door. Sharp. Calculated. Expected.
Aaron Valerian, his second-in-command and younger brother, strode in, towering at 6’6”, his presence just as intimidating, though far quieter. He leaned down, whispering something in Lucifer’s ear.
Lucifer’s jaw tightened. A flicker of irritation crossed his face—brief, dangerous.
With a sharp sigh, he crushed the half-burnt cigar into the crystal ashtray, pushing back his chair in one smooth motion

“Meeting’s over,”
(he declared, his tone final)
As he walked out, his long strides echoing in the grand halls of his empire, he didn’t know that his world—his perfectly controlled, meticulously built empire—was about to be shattered.
The night was calm—too calm. The city lights flickered in the distance, the soft hum of luxury engines filling the air as a fleet of black armored SUVs drove through the quiet streets. Inside the lead car, Lucifer Enrico Valerian sat in his usual silence, his fingers resting against his temple, his patience already worn thin from the meeting.
His piercing ocean-blue eyes flickered toward the park they were passing. A girl. Sitting alone in the dimly lit garden, curled up on the bench, her delicate frame trembling as silent sobs shook her shoulders.
Something inexplicably shifted inside him.
She was a vision—a porcelain doll in a white floral dress, her long brown hair cascading down her back in soft waves. The faint glow of streetlights kissed her tear-streaked cheeks, her downcast brown eyes shimmering with unspoken pain. And in her small, trembling hands, she clutched a tiny plushie, holding it close as if it were her only source of comfort.
She looked… breakable.
Too innocent. Too untouched. Too pure for this world.
Lucifer’s grip on the leather seat tightened. He had seen weakness before. He despised it. Yet, something about her—the way she sat there, lost in her own sorrow, completely unaware of the devil watching her— made something inside him twist.

“Stop the car,”
(he ordered, his voice calm yet sharp)

seated beside him, frowned. “Lucifer—”

“NOW.”
The vehicle screeched to a halt. The entire convoy followed suit, their sudden stop disrupting the quiet night. The guards tensed, waiting for a command.
But Lucifer wasn’t looking at them.
His eyes remained fixed on her.
She had no idea that the most dangerous man in the world had just set his sights on her. That from this moment on, her fate no longer belonged to her.
Because Lucifer Enrico Valerian never let go of what he wanted.
And he had already decided—
She was his.
he had never stopped for anyone. Not for a woman. Not for a stranger. Not for anyone who didn’t serve a purpose.
Yet, tonight, he found himself stepping out of his car—for her.
The crisp night air barely touched his tailored suit as he moved, his towering 6’7” frame casting an intimidating shadow under the dim park lights. His polished black shoes made no sound against the pavement as he approached, his every movement precise, controlled—like a predator closing in on its prey.
She didn’t notice him at first.
Her small fingers clutched her plushie tighter, her delicate frame trembling as she sniffled softly, her gaze still lowered, lost in whatever sorrow had consumed her. She looked so… fragile. Too small. Too untouched by the filth of the world he ruled.
Lucifer wasn’t a man who believed in fate. Yet here she was—placed right in front of him, as if the universe had just offered him a gift wrapped in innocence.
He took another step. Close enough now that she could feel his presence.
And then—she finally looked up.
Big, tear-filled brown eyes met his icy blue ones.
For the first time in his life, Lucifer felt his world stop.
𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴?
His chest tightened at the sight of her face—so innocent, so untouched by cruelty, so utterly unprepared for the devil that had just walked into her life.
She blinked, confusion flickering in her gaze as she stared at the man standing before her. She didn’t know who he was. Didn’t recognize the name that made men drop to their knees in fear.
And that?
That only made Lucifer more obsessed.
He crouched in front of her, his piercing stare locking onto hers as he spoke, his voice dark and dangerously smooth—
